  1. we had a late start setting lines about 8:30 in about 80 fow. went west with no takers. But had double digit short strikes nothing hooking up. we worked to 120 the turned back thinking it was about time to get off the water. We were the last boat on the water around 11:45 in 100 fow when the rigger set at 75 down fired hard. took a min to get that one in but was a nice 13lbs king. so we turned back and went back over the same place we caught that and sure enough the same rigger fired again bring a 15lbs king. we made one more pass and called it a day. rigger set 75 down with a mod green dolphin on a 60 degree troll. all in all was not a bad day. the short strikes crazy and kept us pretty busy. radio chatter sounded like others were having them too. but went 2-2 and both really nice kings so we were happy
  2. welcome to the site and good to know they are hitting at night!! we were out sunday night but we were not in deep enough water from the sound of it!! Nice job!!

  4. went out to 40 fow set lines marking all kinds of fish. nothing hitting at all. we went S/W to 90 fow still nothing so we started N/E back towards the dock and boxed a 10lbs king in 75fow rigger 52 down with a mag carmel dolfin spoon. radio chatter was very low. most people catching flies.. didnt sound like anyone was just killing them. but we did get one in the boat went 1 for 1..

  8. yes we were very lucky to get out of the net with only losing the cannon ball. and thanks to all you guys who post here each trip it helps us new guys know what to use.
  9. father-inlaw and i went out to find 3 to 5 foot waves with 6 once in awhile. we set in 140 fow riggers set at 60, 70, 80,and 100 down, we had 2 on early which i let slip off right at the boat.. one a nice king the other a small coho. we kept tolling 130-150 fow our 100 down rigger caught one of those nets and snapped the rigger cable. we lucked out and only lost the cannon ball and 50 or so feet of cable. we stayed pushing and ended up going 3 for 7 all kings one small the other 2 were 10lbs kings. still new to the big lake fishing. only second year on the lake first year putting fish in the boat.. so we are happy what worked was rigger set at 60 down with moonshine green flounder pounder. rigger set at 80 down with same spoon.
