  1. Thanks, we are looking to buy a house and move over there, we really like it.
  2. Lake was calm to lazy rollers. 3 for 4, two on wire dipsy with NBK flasher and artic blast fly, back 168 set at 1(lake trout and steelhead)). One on DR down 70' with 40' lead with net minder SD and blue mirage dancer 2 fly ( caught the king). SOG 2.3 -2.8, Depth 147-170' and zigzag pattern. Sizes Steelhead 5.47# 25", king 11.71# 30", laketrout 9.43# 30". Loss chicken wing lure on 200' 45# copper when it got hit by something big. No hits on lemon berry or blue dolphin spoons today. Good conversation on the lake today with Dr. Hook. Pulling the boat home. See you next season. Goodluck and good fishing. I'll be checking the posts for your progress. Littleboat
  3. Fished south of harbor. Set up in 80'. Trolled west 250 degrees out to 120'. Marked fish but no bites. From the chatter on the radio, not a lot of bites overall. Those AM fishermen must have caught most of the fish. Had a bullet type hit on my blue splatter back j-plug on a 200' 45# copper on a board and a short release. I moved out into deeper water 165'. DR went off 78' down trolling monkey puke fly with crush glow sd at 2.6 SOG west to east 115 troll. Cranked in a huge lake trout, which laid over from end to end  the entire net as it bowed in the middle filling it. As I tried to pull him in, the he shook the hook and got free. The only fish caught of the night got away. Heart breaking. The lake was extremely calm. We marked more fish deeper than shallower. Hope the weather improves for the weekend. LB
  4. 0/2 tonight. One shaker and one broke line. Both were on DR 70-88 dwn in 105 and168' on a pearl SD with a white fly(artic blast) and purple/white fly. I should have let the line breaker run for awhile longer, I might have been able to catch him. SOG was 2.4, water temp was 43@85 in 120' and 100. I found columns of cold water at different depths next to a warm column. I haven't experienced that before. No hits on meat rig dipsys or spoons or plugs. Water was calm. Great night otherwise. Leaving in the am, back after labor day weekend. Good luck to all of you. Save me some fish. LB Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app

  6. Lake was calm, went 3 for 4, one of each 10.36# lake trout, 8.45# steelhead, 6.36# king. Lost 4th fish king (big) as I was netting him. The line broke when the wife couldn't walk any farther with the pole in the boat. Fished 105-160'. Most hits came in 120 fow on a E-W troll 2.4 sog. DR lead 60 back with SD with green edge and purple/green/white fly 88' down got the LT. DR with same SD with artic white fly got king same depth. Wire Diver with green cheap meat rig, set on 2 105 back got the steelhead. Lost one big fish (king)which took my meat rig and SD at the boat. I was just south of harbor LB
  7. Last night's catch. The fishing station was a busy place with people standing in line. LB

  9. 2 for 4 , lake was basically flat, DR down 88' with green glow SD and white fly got 9# lake trout in 167 fow, SOG 2.8 E-W troll. Water temp was 43@ 90'. Steelhead caught in 20' on slide diver set on 0, back 80' with 75' lead in 189 fow on E-W troll 2.4 sog. Loss 2 other steel heads on wire diver meat rig and double orange crush spoon on a 5 color, both were in 190-205 fow. LB Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  10. Great report very good information. Thanks! Just got back into town. Waiting for the weather to break now. LB
  11. How big is the boat? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  12. 1 for 3 and the one wasn't a big one. it was a small king, which I released back. The two other hits were steelhead that threw our lures. The water temperature has really messed up the fishing. Not a lot of bites from most of the fisherman. Surface temp was 52-58 @ 40' it was 43, water depth was 150 -202 ' at the stick. SOG was 2-3 to 2-6. You can see the lure I caught the BIG KING on in the picture. All my hits came on 5-8 color leadcore. Fishing here was pretty much like being in a parade. Find a slot and fall in. I hope the weather improves for fishing, but we will be leaving and not be able to enjoy it. Some guys did ok, but overall it was tough on the rest of us. 13. Ludington has the same problem. Just got here and the water temp is 44 on top and 41 at 70' almost everywhere. I think I'll put my waiters on and cast. LB Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  14. I enjoyed your company, mom too, especially when she took control of the second steelhead with NO problem at all. I was impressed. She is my hero. I had a great time. Thanks. LB Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  15. Congrats on the catch. Those are definitely night fish, because we worked that area during the day and almost got skunked. Nice sizes! Good luck keep it up. LB Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app

  17. Slow day for the littleboat only one steelhead. Fished 10-2:30pm. It was 8.06#. Caught on 250 32# copper, sw troll at 2.5 SOG with an orange NBK in a 152'. Trolled between 80-160'. Water temp was 66 and 40 at 77'. The lake was very calm today. Actually saw the board I lost yesterday, but couldn't get back to it with all the lines just set. I was sw of Port Sheldon. The fish must have all gone to the Holland today. Isn't that just how it goes. LB Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app

  23. Fished Holland 8:30 am -12:30 pm. 80-105 FOW, 3-4' waves, surface temp 66. 2 for 3, SOG 2.4, DR 55 dwn 60' back with green flounder pounder got a 4.38# king. FC lead with Ed Ganger Glo at 2.6 SOG got a 8.11# steelhead. But the real excitement came when a large steelhead took my 3 Color with a glo berry, jump 15' in the air, broke and my line a 100 ft from the boat. I lost my church board as it slid down the line. We looked for about 20 minutes with no luck to try and recover it. The capping waves made it difficult. So it has my name and number should you find it? LB
  24. Just got into town, staying at Anchorage Marine. Hope to get out in the am, will report. Thanks for the report. LB Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  25. Finally got to HB today. 1st time this summer, long ride from Macomb (2hrs). The lake was calm (glass). trip was 7:30-10:00 am, 1 for 2 a small lake trout (released back to the water),it was 18". Lost something on another line 5 color, it took my pink panties and snapped the line. I was in 75-90' marking several pods of fish NE of the harbor. I did a cloverleaf pattern back into the pod everytime. Water temp was 66 on the surface and 46 at 70'. DR down 70' and back 60' with a green flounder pounder took the lake trout. Water was clear, but the wind blew up into 4' waves. Too much for my littleboat and I headed back to the harbor. I wish it could have been longer but the everyone had the same idea once the wind began its blow. Pictures were just before the wind blew. LB
