Sure was a nice day to get out!
at least you got out..still trying to shakedown mine:thumb:Don't do it sniffer! Keep that boat nice and clean....maybe tubing and waterskiing off the back of it this summer!

:thumb: Despite the known muddy like river conditions, I tagged along with Indybleck for a Detroit river expedition.
We worked the steel mill / mud island areas from 7am - noonish.
Water visibility was not good, maybe 4'6". Threw everything possible at them, 1 oz jig, blue ice plastic, is what hooked the most fish. Brought home a single good eater, and lost 2 NICE fish on the way up...very heart breaking.
Thanks Tom for the trip! No place better to be!

I've been using my ice armour blue suit as a rain suit. But, I haven't needed to use it in WARM weather, so I'm not sure how HOT it would be in the dead of summer during a rain storm. But, it is windproof and waterproof...

There is a fishing log sheet somewhere here on GLF, I use it, very good breakdown on information that you would want.
I'll see if I can dig up the link

Oh boy, hope they don't find a way to suggest that this would be good for the great lakes....we don't want them here!

Good luck Sea Mac, I like their spoons that I have......
I know warrior took over, are their spoons that much different that you won't buy them?

I became a forum member last year, but never got around the site to much:confused:. I am from Davison, MI. Avid fisherman, outdoorsman, and paramedic. Looking to gain knowledge, and share info. I am also on MGO quite a bit.
I attempted last year to get into salmon fishing, but now unemployed and need to sell what I have. Hope to meet new people and talk fishing.
Jared
I'm right down the road from Davison Jared....actually right next door.
I'll shoot ya a message when I'm looking to put some butts in seats on the boat........

I figure 7-9' of depth per every 30' of line out on the 45#.

I'll stay out there as long as it takes and conditions allow. Black flies? We just deal with it. The mayflies hatching is pretty extreme from time to time while fishing eyes, but you can move and get away from them. On limited availability to fish I try and make every trip the best it can be.

We tried one last season and I can't remember taking any fish on it.

Welcome to the site. Do you primarily fish walleye?

I have been working dilligently on the following:
Being a father and an avid angler, I have been working on finding a solution to being 3 places at one time...
I need to be at the office, I need to be at home for the kids, and I need to be on the water as often as possible. Along with this magic trick I have also been working on how to grow a money tree. I'll keep y'all posted

Stingers were on, with the light bite that was the bite, I don't think I was setting it hard enough. When I would pickup the fish were just on the line, didn't feel any "hit"...
Good to get out....
