Atta boy Chummer! If you need to get rid of those pesky perch, you have my # .....nice job. I should be back within a couple of weeks up there, going to start looking for the perch

Tony I used to run riggers on the bay all the time, tracking bottom. My spread was about the same as you describe, except, leadcore and spoons or jets and spoons with the riggers hugging the bottom. Nice box of Saginaw Bay Gold!

Jason, Nothing better than fishing with your kids. You're a good daddy. Being a good father is the most important thing you will ever do. The kids are priority1.
You can say that again..... time for some much needed time off with the people that make it all worth while

I like to keep the tank full, when we're done, we split it evenly. But in the end, as mentioned above, I never come out on top, or really look to. There are expenses that come with owning a boat that I absorb solely. It sure is nice when people are able to, and willing to pitch in. But, at the end of the day, if they can't help out I'll likely take them out anyway. Some of my buds that I fish with don't get out often, and are friends I don't get to see often, so lack of $$$$$ from them is not a deal breaker.....I just wanna fish man....

Nice job
I just started to move to the north thumb ports. I have to ask how deep have you been fishing. Those fish dwarf the inner bay schools. Ill be out by the charities next weekend searching.
Pm welcome thanks
SJK,
I was fishing 4oz BBs over the side right off the bottom. 2oz inline weights 20-40 back, all with harnesses. Been fishing a few different areas, anywhere from 20fow - 40fow

Is there tourney results posted somewhere?
I don't know where to get the results. If I Find them I'll post em.

Nice job. We would have had about 16-18 pounds for our top five fish on Saturday so you did pretty darn good.
By the way, I was told on MS that it was "unfishable" on Friday so I guess that you, I and a bunch of other anglers could not have possibly caught any fish that day. LOL
Thanks Mike. I drove right by you on the way out unfishable? No. Darn right snotty........absolutely.
Port Sanilac
in Lake Huron Pier and River Reports

Annual family vacation in Port Sanilac has come and gone. Didn't spend as much time fishing for perch, but that's how it goes with kids. I was able to get my kids on some fish. My 4yo caught an ice fat 14" perch. My 2yo & 5yo got to tussle with some perch too. They were so excited, hooting and hollering when we were catching fish.
I was able to get out a few mornings early solo and spend the time to get on the perch. the perching is a tad behind and will only get better. One small weed bed was giving up the bounty, if you weren't on it (and I mean on top of it) you weren't getting perch. Friday's rougher water and north winds killed the good fishing I experienced the few days prior.
