Nice job on the eyes Frank! I made sure to slow down to give ya a wave as we were on our way out! What a beautiful day on the water with the family. The kids really had a blast out there. We were able to luck out with a handful of perch, the action wasn't hot enough to keep the kids entertained for a long period of time. So we improvised, did some jumping off the boat and a little swimming out there. Water was beautiful, there was cooler water at my toes when we were in the water.
Hoping the perch fishing takes off, cuz I'm ready to get after em! Til next time.

Frank, I have thought along the same lines as well over the past few years. I concluded that temps and such have little impact in comparison to the time of year, and the factors that change, as you mention daylight to dark. Some kind of "internal" clock or something triggers fish to do what they do. Now I'm not saying temps have ZERO impact, but I do think there is not as much impact due to temps as I previously believed.

Keep moving until you find them, and once you're on them stay on them. I wonder if wigglers would be worth a darn during the summer months? I know they are GOOD during the winter months.

Keep after em Frank! I maybe up with the family one day this weekend....may take a stab at some perchin.......

Nice job Terry.....DirtyDog is kicking some @$$!!!!

Nice job! Thanks for the report. Pentwater is an awesome port.....

Nice job. Seems the ports in the Mid Region of lake Michigan are experiencing better numbers on average! Keep on it

You sure have one helluva fishery over there! Good numbers and fantastic size! Keep up the good work!

Nice job Frank! You've been kicking their tails in all summer long. With the cooler summer here I think the fishing will continue to be good for quite a while!
Keep on em

Nice job boys

Thanks for the report Mike! Thanks for the detailed reports all summer. You have been nothing short of kicking their tales in all summer long! Hope you have good luck on the west side too!

I start with the tag end, wrap it around the noodle, and then burry one barb into the noodle. As I'm wrapping the line around the noodle I overlap so the line doesn't come loose. I have used toothpicks in the past to secure the tag end to the noodle

That's the same thing I store crawler harnesses on. It works fantastic. I would assume that fly storage on a noodle would be just as effective.

I can only hope #1 to make it that long, and #2 to be able to get out and do something I love (like fishing)

Atta boy Sniffer! 17/28 is a darn nice number. Said it before, would rather have that kind of action and lose fish than batting very well but lower #s!

It sure looked a lot nicer than this when it first came out of the water....

Fished with a good friend on his boat this past Saturday for a benefit / tourney out of Linwood. Shotgun start @ 7am and we ran out to the hot spot.....not really hot, but we fished east of the shipping channel in about 30fow, where we pulled one nice walleye that weighed 6#12oz on the boat, which was good enough for big fish. On the certified scale and after being in the livewell all day it weighed 6.53#. After we realized that the area we were fishing wasn't producing we moved west. Out near 1&2 we put the spread of 1oz in lines on one side, and 2 oz on the other with harnesses. 1 oz'ers out 45' seemed to be taking good action, 2 ozer's between 25-32' back in 22-25fow was working well on the other side. We sorted through a bunch of fish and filled out our 3 man limit with a lot of throwbacks. Purples seemed to stand out. The wind kicked up about 2PM and at that point the fish really turned on where we were at....
Great day of fishing, we had A LOT OF FUN!

That's some fast PERCH action! That is the kind of action I am looking to put my 2,4 and 6 year old on, anything short of non stop action and they become bored quickly....
