  1. I use OR8 pad release's and I don't like them flopping around when not in use, so this year I came up with an Idea and it's working so far:thumb: I took a 6" pc. black electrical tap and put around the down rigger arm where it will serve as a release hanger, trim to lenght w/sissors and clip the release on the tap end that hangs about 2" below the arm, NO more damaged release pads:cool:

Yep it was tougher then friday night, I most likley seen ya but didn't ya either:( but I got fliped off by the guy going the wrong way by the wall I said something on the radio about it, and when our boards about crashed I went to the back and said don't see the rotation everyone going CCW and you going CW he looked at me and fliped me off JUST don't know sometimes:D

  6. Fished Habor Beach friday afternoon 4:30 till 7:30 pm 3 for 6:( ! 14# king, 1 LK trout, 1 coho, Then did the am trip 4-7 kinda tough 4 for 6 all Ho's:cool: Maybe we get off the full moon things will heat up:thumb: Marked fish just couldn't get them going:confused:

Went this morning NOT so nice, as the ski man said:eek: rainy and cool but we managed 2 for 3 fish 1 ho and 1 Lk. trout, better then a skunk:rolleyes: some other boats did fair 4 to 7 fish still kinda early I think:confused: water temp 41 to 43 was what I found in 15 to 25fow fish are scattered yet.

Jason you may hit the nail right on the head the water is warming up fast I had 44 to 46.6 out to 35fow, and there is talk of some kings on the other side of pond to the east, they should go south to the blue bridge then come North up the east side, I'am thinking 2 to 3 weeks are going to be good:thumb:
  13. Left the harbor Port Sanilac at 0700 hrs back in at 1:00 pm 4 for 6 2 LK trout, 1 steelie, 1 ho, mixed bag out the back spoon and body baits, a little tough;) but no skunk, nice day on the water:cool:
  14. I hope for on every time the rod goes off but that don't happen:D, we don't have too many Kings over here any more:eek:.

Didn't do the AM thing, Just a little to froggy for me:rolleyes: fog lifted and we went at 3:00 PM boat in the water at 4:00PM NO dock but we managed to get unloaded with no problem pick up partner at fuel dock. Trolled North 13-15fow temp 43-44 went 3 for 3 1 nice brown 2 nice Lake Trout all on body baits, Boat ran great 1st trip:thumb: Forgot how to post Pics thing darn it:confused:
  20. Maybe next weekend 16th thr the 18th I will get her in the water at Port Sanilac if the docks are in;) after some Ho's or what ever, the spring fever is here:thumb: I'll keep ya guys posted
