  1. Thats a very  boat Frank; I think you should just let me pro-staff that boat for the 2012 fishing season in lake Huron for the turnments :D the 220 would work good also.

I think when I get rich enough to replace my Off shore it will be to much moo laa. LOL

  2. Went to Grindstone Sunday after Lake Trout, good run 3 man limit in 4 hrs:thumb: a little rough 3 to 4 ft ers but we got it done.

8mi's at 355 degrees out grindstone 140 to 160 fow

    What worked;

Dippseys 275' back on 1 1/2 setting NBK dogger with white SiggsRigg, No Camera:eek:

Yellow bumbo bee Spin-n-glow behind the ghost dogger on the rigger.

chrome screw ball on the rigger.

and green frog silver streak rigger

all the riggers was 10-20' off the bottom

great year but not out to much

  3. If anyone still has an erge to fish, There is full box's of Lake trout out in 120' to 145 fow in the bottom 10' and there are 6# fish and up, some are 17 -18 Lbs, chrome doggers with white w/ pink dots spin-n-glows, and green spinnys, and doggers w/ fly's on the mag dipseys 1.5 setting 325' back on wire, 355 deg out of Grind stone or 30 deg out of Port Austin, its 6 to 8 miles out on the N.W. side of the reef, I'am going to try this weekend sat, or sun as long as Mother Nature is good :thumb:

  4. The crash on Huron was preceeded by smaller fish and the last 2 years had kings with big heads and very skinny bodies with bellies that curved in rather than bulged out. The fish in Lk Mich are very healthy with broad shoulders and football bellies. I'm not worried at all for the short term. I think the DNR was right on to cut the plants to save the fishery. The results this year are amazing given that king sizes were trending downward from 2004 to 2009. They have increased the last 2 years with a big jump this year. Some of the immature 3 yr old kings we've been catching are very large. They are going to be real brutes next year.

I'll 3rd that statment I think that they made a good choice on cuts in LK Mich. as I'am hoping that LK Huron is coming back slowly but stronger then ever with a fishery, slowly mother nature will fix it, my 2 cents worth :thumb:

  5. Heidi, keep your head High and a big smile:) you'll find them:thumb:

If I was out there I would look for a temp break the lake should be setting up with a Late spring on temp I would go North to Cherry Creek start in 40 fow and head straight out troll, try to spead the program from top to bottom till you find them:thumb:

Like lake Michigan side when in dought head stright out,

    good luck.

I have been working 5/12s with 3hrs of driving in it, been kinda whip by the weekend so no fishing for me but maybe in a couple of weeks I'll be back on the the water.:thumb:

  6. Well to start with the boat ran Great with the new heads:thumb: It was the Pro-King turnament today everyone got 9 pro-king spoon the same color and size, you could run 9 rods or what ever, there was 31 boats in this one.

So it was a 6:am start with in the harbor by 1:pm so I ran 17 mi's north to get a fair box with 9 Lake Trout and 2 steel head and 2 Coho:grin: 95 to 125 f.o.w. hit the bottom and up 4ft fish would take it.

But we could only weigh 12 cause one steel head was to short by tornament rule's:eek: but we ended up in 4th place of 31 boats can't complain:cool:

Z-1 took 1st with 15 fish he was right there in the same spot but he started a little thinner water like 60ft and there was some kings in there, domb of me should have done the same:rolleyes:.

    Here's a couple of Pic's
