  1. I was over to Port Sanilac today to see a client, so I went down to the DNR ramp and no docks in yet and its 63 degree's and no Ice as far as you can see thru 10x50 bi-nocks

So I went over to the city launch its full of snow in the ramp, seen a guy walking to the shop and asked him, whats up with the DNR ramp docks? he looked at me like:confused: then stated that the DNR launch was run by Lexington Habor now, Ok I said so I drove down to Lexington Harbor and One dock in NO body around but I did find the fish counter from DNR I asked her what was up with Port Sanilac Harbor, and she said well thats run by LakePort now and they don't know what they are going to do at Port Sanilc yet  they are in charge now and want build new docks.

In a nut shell It sounds like Port Sanilac is ticked over the $10.00 fee that can be bought now with your plate and they- Port Sanilac city always was in the booth taking $ before don"t like it

So I'am calling Jim Baker tomorrow in Bay City on a couple other things and see what He has to say:thumb:

  2. Kyle, I been running 1lb. ball 3or4 yrs now, I always run one down the schute I put on the spoon or what ever and let it out 50'-75' zero the counter and put ball on put thumb on spool and let down till it hits, depending on speed for blow back, but it's effective and get fish.

Also I use the I think OR-8 release with the pin in the center of the pad, the RED one" I've never lost one yet. LOL

  3. Dave, Do they make one for $400 or less? LOL I have a 510C and it shows Termo's but it was more than $400 4-5yrs ago I think cause lorance came out with the new models the yr after, Go figer.

    Good luck Dave.

  4. are these east side fish from the good ole days?

Yes sir, I think 1997 was when things started going the other way:eek: I think some where I have a pic of a moon lit night outa Grindstone and we had our 3 man limit on the floor 1990-91.

Boy those where the days, I don't think the floor in the old RAZERBACK thats the 86 19ft Islander ever got washed till fall, there was a lot of kings came to the back of that boat on ET spoons.:thumb:

  5. Good jog on the Coho's Mike, your lucky to out, no docks in over here yet.

I have been thinking about how I could put someone in my boat and back it in and unload then go down the break wall and get on the boat, but my luck the ramp would be ice and Truck and all would be in the drink, don't need head line news, so I guess I'll just wait and itch.

    Thanks Mike;

  6. Well here we go again , I just recevied my COHO flies from Matt, they look good, now how long do ya make the leads from the dogger to the flie?

    Thanks you guys

there is not a lot of Coho in L.H. but I want the pres. to look right:thumb:

  7. Is the Deptraider speed and temp pickup the same as my sub-troll 900? because I don't have no problem with may cannons with auto-stop its water activated, and the pick-up spring for the 900 is about a foot from the main frame of the rigger boom, the only thing I had to do was take about 1" of coating of the cable where it makes contact with the set screw on the spool for the auto stop to work.

    Good luck,

  8. If someone on this site is Intrested ,

I have 2 15'-3" seachoice outriggers they a 3 pc telascope that I bought 4yrs ago and only used them once, they was up in my shed, just run acossed them tonight and I mite as well get rid of them if someone can use them.

On here only $25.00 a pc. plus the ride, they are fiberglass white and blue nice.

If no buddy here wants them I'am going to put them on creigs list

  9. I don't know if you guys remember but back in the mid 80s Harbor Beach had one heck of a brown trout fishery! and if it can be half as good as it was it would be outstanding also along with the steelhead fishery picking up us east side guys can get happy again!!!!

Yes I do kinda remember the hay day of browns and salmon at HB. I just bought my first boat in 85, 24' chysler and boy did we have fun:thumb: it will come back I'am being positive:cool: and the walleye do get around the top and down to HB, but in the end of june and july an august are good if wind don't blow bad, and the steel  you wait , we are running 15000 trough the net pens again this year putting them in first of may and relaseing them the 5-27,:split: these fish will out swim any pretor fish:thumb:
