you can still use it with braid or mono backer just make sure you have enough backer on the reel 600 feet or so

100 150 and 200 feet of 32#copper with floro carbon leaders have been working realy good for us for the last 2 weeks along with are wire divers with mag spoons on them

i said my rigger were my hottest rods on my boat not wire but the wire dose not seem to shut down my riggers at all they go all day

I can tell you wire dose not shut down my riggers they are the hotest rods on the boat most days and i always have wire out you can ask any one who has fished with me

Offshore are what we run they hold up well in ruff water.

We ran 3 or 4 most of the summer it was non stop on the blood run 250 copper never took it. Off that rod all season

Silver streak mag green dolphin you can put it on any rod and works. From top to bottom

make sure you use good swivles on the sliders and also try floro carbon for the line i usaly run the same pattern on main line one mag and one reg or mini streak

i use blacks also and love them

we will have 32# and 45# copper in 1000 ft and 5000ft spools and 30 and 40 # floro carbon in 300' spools there in blood run we will only be there on sat so stop in and we will hook you up

yes ande is what i use for backer either 20 or 25 and you will be fine that is what i have on all of my rods if you break the 20 or 25 than you got your drag to tight the 800 will do you fine with 20#

In late june and early july you can get some big steelhead in 80 to 150 fow southof ps i took one 19#s in the frist week of july one year but on a normal year you can get them up to 15#s that time of year your best chance is to go south out of holland and head down tords saugatuck as they have the river the summer steelhead will run up at that time of year last year was not that great for them but in years past it has been good for them at that time of year your best rods will be your coppers for them with mag spoons

you do not need 40# just uses 20 or 25 # than you can get more backer i run 800's and use 20 # mono it is best to just set up rods with diffrent segments of copper and set them up to the detphs you want becuse like i said before the more you mess around with thing the better chance the fish has to get off or for you to tangle thing up and cost you more money by tring to save money and thats from exprince

use mono for your backer because copper has no strech and it acts as a shock asorber for the copper and you cun cut and retie at any time
