  1. Don't know for sure but wire rocks! When at all possible keep the drag just so it tick every once and a while and when a fish hits just back off on the drag while still in the holder. It will help you alittle.
  2. Big Papa makes a good bag, so does Ammish outfitters
  3. Has anyone used these? They catch stripers like mad, just wondered if they worked for salmon. Thanks
  4. shimano 7' med action TDR/mod fast tip. Got 10 and love them.

  7. Do they get alot of use any more? What are good colors and where do you get some on-line. Thanks guys, Chris
  8. Just talked to 5 different groups of guys up and down Door Co. Deep bite has cooled alittle, fish being caught 120-180 as of today, spoons have really come on. Plugs and Fly's getting their share. Fishing is still alittle spotty, different year this year to say the least.
  9. In this years tourney Baileys harbor far and away caught more and bigger fish. The only registered 30# in the KD came there. I think the fishing presure hurt the bank reef this year, we caught far more and bigger fish before the KD. Of all the ports Baileys has beat the others.
  10. I have been pulling tx-44's all year, 200-400 foot coppers with flasher/flys pull great. My walleye boards don't see much water time now.
  11. So you guys got the cool water over there, send some to wisconsin!! It sure would be nice. How have the charters been doing over there? King numbers on the WI side seem down, are they over there as well? Thanks
  12. Change bait size and speed. Grind,Grind,Grind!!!!
  13. I will be on 69. My buddy Duke had 17 this AM.
  14. After a very slow 37 fish 5 trip weekend last week things are heating up. The bank is producing 10-18 fish outings for my friends out there now. I am going to kill alot of salmon in the upcoming weeks. Chris
  15. Good job Kyle, heard some reports of charters on the bank with high single/low double numbers. A couple more weeks should help alot.
  16. Don't sell the riggers. Riggers, divers and planners all have thier place. I would cut out everything else before I would sell any salmon stuff, even stop drinking BEER!
  17. Never had good luck with XL, big game for me. Palomar, uni, willis and albright haven't failed me in years, but I do retie way more then most I bet. Every weeklong trip I retie everything. If your Palomar is failing it's you, thats one of the strongest knots out there. I had problems with XL knot strength even with alot of spit.
  18. Sorry for the fire, had one myself and it's a horrible deal all the way around. I personally would toss it all. Scent is a huge deal, even if you can't smell it salmon sure can. Anything that can swim around in Lake Michigan and come back 4 years later to the same rock it was bourne under has a pretty good nose. Smoke is one of the worst scents for repeling fish, IMHO.
  19. I stay in Sturgeon bay, when in Algoma do you stay at Big lake campground? If you do look up my good friend Tony Castle, he does torpedo's extremely well under alot of conditions. I have a full set and with all the reports I have heard will be in my spread come this summer.
  20. A 553LS is your best bet. 53" a crank, best out there.
  21. Yes you can, I got my stuff coming. Thanks guys!
  22. Who has this? How do you like? How is the suface temp feature? Thanks, Chris
  23. Sturgeon Bay for me but I will be doing a Port Washington trip this spring.
  24. lurecraft.com/ Jannsnetcraft.com Luremaker.com basspro.com cabelas.com Google it and even more come up. Go with the epoxy, not spray. Powder works well if you powder coat walleye jig heads. There has to be something to this UV thing, I'm just not that lucky!
