  1. The chrome blade/mt dew tape with a blue fairways fly off a diver has been a hot combo all season this year at Ludington.

    Ludington

Today, we ran north to the 07's past the point and trolled it back to Ludington. 70 to 120 ft early, out ot 170 later in the day off the Bathouse.Water cooled off a bunch, 42 down 30 ft. We hit 15, got our limit. Fish we up high with the cold water. It was riggers with long leads, 120ft out 20 and 25 ft down with Yeck verdicts, hi divers out from 60 to 110ft, one with a verdict and one with an orange fish catcher and an aqua glow fly. 150 copper with a SS blue whale and a half core with a Yeck Jarid. Good luck!
  4. Bet that was a fun trip, nice catch!

Back out today, Milt and I hit 15 but only boated 8. We had 2 over 20lbs, Nice kings. Pretty much same as yesterday but water was cooling and fish were a bit higher, hi divers out 180 and lows 150. riggers 50 to 85 ft. Same lures worked great, yeck verdict and mt dew spin doctor and blue fairways file were best. The took about 9-10 hits. Same meat rigs hit too. Good luck!

Forecast looks windy for the weekend, hope we can get out tomorrow.
  8. Was very good today. My buddy Milt and I got our limit. Kings and coho's. One 20-1/2lbr. We fished north of the point from the 3.5's to the 7's. 90 to 130 ft of water. A yeck verdict on a hi diver out 200 was hot. A chrome/mt dew spin doctor and blue fairways fly down 75 on a rigger was next best. Lo wire divers out 150 and 180 ft with a white spin doctor and meat head and a white/mt dew spin doctor with a meat head did all the damage. Good luck if your in Ludington, offshore was going good today too for some boats!
  9. About 400 ft and deeper as you go farther west.
  10. Sounds like a great trip, nice catchin!
  11. No general permit for me but I'll get a private land one if the turkeys are on the property.
  12. Great catch and pics, I've seen your boat up here before. Now I'll know it's you Adam.
  13. Those kings have some shoulders on em. Love the sundown pic! Could you e-mail me a hi res version.
  14. Was very good today. You got a choice of bigger fish inside and not as many or big numbers and smaller fish way out right now. Started in the 01's and 37's and went west. Took it out to the 45's and turned back in and were done in the 40's. Got our limit, had around 30 bites. Lot's of fish escaped. We got 9 steelhead, they were jumping today. Half cores, fulls, 200 and 300ft coppers. Riggers 50 to 70 down. Mag lo divers out 115 and 125. Hi divers out 140ft. It was a spoon bite. Moonshine- green jeans, mongolian beef, bloody nose, moonshine, and happy meal. Yeck- lightning, verdict, mixed veggies, and lemon ice. Good luck!
  15. Probably should regain my composure. Duck boat trolling....That used to be me 30 years ago. Had 2 homemade downriggers with 2x6 frames, washing machine pulleys and a nail to set your depth. Had a simple round flasher depth finder like they use for ice fishing now and 2 rods with j plugs. At least we lived in a nice place.
  16. Thanks fisherman5 lol:lol::lol::lol: I've seen some of that before :lol::lol: I'm rolling on the floor:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: My tummy hurts:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Here's more details on the program, 3 riggers down 21 to 28 ft with 100 ft leads, regular moonshines mean green, night crawler and dancing anchovie. Hi diver out 75 ft with a silver streak yellow tail and another out 65ft with a mag moonshine NBK. 2 half cores with yeck verdicts. Had a couple spin doctors and plugs out at times and they didn't take a hit. Later we put out a yeck lemon ice on one of the halfs and it took one. Supposed to be windy and rough tomorrow. Good luck!

The fish are still inside again today, 3 of us got 11, same program as yesterday. All nice kings, there are some big ones coming in, here's a pic:
  19. Been here all week, fishing was as reported on the public reports last weekend for us too. Things picked up the last couple days. Thursday, we ran offshore to the 44's to 46's out a little south and got our limit of 10, kings, coho and 1 steelie. Spoons from half cores down to 90 ft on riggers. There have been some great numbers on a lot of boats offshore. Today, it was rought so we set up at the pier heads and hit a double, ended up 11 for 15, let one go for 2 of us in the boat, had 2 doubles and a triple, that was fun. It was reg, moonshines and a new spoon, a yeck verdict, was hot on half cores. We stayed inside within a mile of the pier. A lot of fish in there now. Cold water. I'm letting the members know here but hope you'll respect I'm not putting it on the public forum.
  20. Only 200 general tags for our area, good luck on the draw. I'm in too. They pattern better in the fall if you can find where they are feeding. I like a kee kee run call in the fall. They don't come to a call very well but it helps to locate them. Here's a good link:
  21. Nice report Matt, are you looking forward to a blow day yet?
  22. Nice job Adam on the full box! Looks like your having a good season on the bay.
