we fished st joe,muskegeon,port sheldon,manistee,ludington and frankfort on lk michigan.saginaw,augres and tawas on huron.trying to put togeather a trip to lake ontario for next year.not sure how many miles but know its over 6,000 for sure.i love the oil bath hubs on my boat trailer, all those miles and it took 20 min to change the oil and ready for another 6,000 miles next year:grin:

Robert, what you really need to do is: take up Walleye fishing to complement the Salmon fishing. Then you use all the money your saving not buying more Salmon gear, to buy Walleye rods, a second boat, stick baits, and so on.
I hear there really biting right now;)

adam i was out in the garage last night getting the quad ready for winter,plowing season is not to far off.hopefully you can put me on some fish,i have made 6 trips out on the bay in the winter and have not even hooked a fish.i know hard to believe:D

its funny you say that,the wife was asking where we were fishing on christmas.we are going to hit manistee if the weather holds or maybe a inland lake at night for some eyes.just hope the ice holds off a little longer.

anybody looking foa a higher end graph/plotter,cabelas has raymarine a series for sale in their bargain barn i think it was about $400 to 500 dollars cheaper than normal around $1100 i think great deal if you are thinking about sattalite weather

my self i would go with a set of rod trees mounted in tracks right at the back of your hard top.have been running trees for two years and would not go any other way.they are great when running multipal boards:grin:

mike,we are if the weather holds off a little longer.there was 2 inches of snow when we went thru cadillac in the morning,still on the ground in the woods on the way home.don,it depends on the day but i start at 2.8 and adjust from there,as fast as 3.4 and as slow as 2.5.thats sog off the gps,i dont run a probe this time of year

hit manistee again today and managed 21 for 25,16 steelies and 5 kings.we fished 50 to 200 fow with 150 to 180 the best from the 18s to the 21s with the 20s and 21s the bestlake was pretty rough today.

line dancin ask j wheeler or alleyes where they got theres i am sure they were less than $600 dollars to your door for a dsx 500.fishcatcr i have a c-80 and when i bought my chip they sent me a fishing chip too that has the conture lines.the chip i am using says greatlakes and maritimes cf/14 jan 07 the serial number is sn000600481700 from navionics,you should be able to trade in the old one.you have to talk to a sales person that knows what they are talking about to get the right one

yes it would.they will have one at birch run this year,cant waite to check it out.have to keep the starcraft for at least 3 more years till its paid off.will be sad the day i have to let her go,shes a great boat.

most of you have me beat,only been at it ten years.started out on the big manistee river and never looked back.i am what you would call a salmon addict.i even got married on the beach in manistee then threw my new wife in the boat and went out for a limit of kings.

mark,we probably feed half of the people in town,we own a pizza restaruant here intown.we give most of it to customers,friends and family.its not hard to get rid of:grin:

i know some of them were introduced to help treat sewage problems.hope they dont make it to the lake but with the way our government works they will be a day late and a dollar short with their response.it will be a sad day my friends:mad:

i didnt want to but with a couple 32 degrees and under nights i didnt think i had a choice..oh well:)
you must have an inboard,like the room at the back of the boat but i would die if i had to put the boat away for the year.i love my honda:grin:

dont hate the boat,hate the guy that winterized it:eek:sorry could not resist the urge:grin: it sure was nice out there yesterday,not so much today we came in in 4 footers,took about 45 mins.talked to phat phish out there again today him and bill beat us there this morning.
