  1. got on the water this morning with the wife, went to start setting the riggers and no cannon balls.left them sitting on the work bench in the garage, forgot the dipsys too.so,i put out 3,2 5s,7,9 and 10 color rigs.ended up not needing the riggers or dipsys.we boxed or limit and threw back 3 lakers,13 for 14.sting ray nuked veggies was the hot rig on 5 colors, pink panties, agent orange, super slim mixed veggies and steelie stomper took fish also.we fished in the 14s and 15s 120 to 150 fow.we had 12 fish in the boat by 8:00 then it died only 1 more fish when we pulled lines at 11:00

  2. we do a few night trips a year.the bite will die down for a couple hours, but 12:00 am to 3:00 am is when we do our best.temp does not seem to matter as much ,the fish tend to move up in the water watch your graph.if you are marking a lot of fish with no takers, try charging lures with flashlight instead of flasher.full or close to full moons are the best for us.good lighting you can turn on and off will make netting big kings a lot simpler, head lamps and flashlights will work but make the task a lot harder.most of all be extreamley carfull, help is a lot farther off at night.i would also recomend a good spotlight .our setup at night is 4 riggers 2 dipsys and 2 cores on boards with marker lights.good luck

  3. fished out of manistee this morning,we put 14 in the box threw 7 back and lost 6 or 7.14 kings,2 lakers and 2 steelies. we set up in 80 fow and before i had the 2nd rigger set the first rigger went, lost it,a few seconds latter the 2nd rigger went lost that one:confused: got 6 rods set and we took 2 doubles, stayed steady till 10 am then slowed down.we had riggers at 80,55,45 and 30 dwn, dipsys at 100 and 150 bk and 2/3/5/7/9 and 10 colors(9 and 10 did not fire) hot lures were sting ray pink panties and super slim steelie stomper.we also took hits on sting ray nuked veggies, mixed veggiesand glow nbk, super slim orange tranny, orange slurpie, blue spin doctor blue hypnotist fly and white spin doctor blue bubble fly we fished mostly 85 to 110 but after things slowed we did head off shore,we found a nice break with a lot of bugs as we were pulling lines.1 steelie as we were pulling them 350 fow

  4. I guess if it could be done it would have; I better go with metal. thanks guys!!
metal would be the right choice,i have watched a few of the lexan rod holders snap right off and a $100 to $250 dolar rod go swiming.i am sure pvc would do the same

  7. we fished with the crowd just long enough to get a little:angry2:,then we went and found our own fish.we found a slick and worked that, must have gotten 14 fish off it.had about a 1 1/2 degree temp difference from one side to the other and was about a mile long.the graph would light right up 100 ft on either side of the break.sure was nice to fish by our selves, didnt have to dodge any boats after we got away from the pack:grin:the wife was very happy.
