  1. Very nice rig. Man it would be nice to have a hard top. is it a I/O???
  2. ill try to convince the ol man to fish it should be a fun tournment. Terry have you came up with a place to weigh fish in at in ludington.
  3. Robert all u need is bird trees 2 10 color 2 5 color 2 3 color. If you need any help i can help you spend some money with all the other guys on here can help to.
  4. Im in ludington from jun to oct, its the only port i fish and when im not fishin there always somthing to do. Lots of great shops and some good places to eat.
  5. Ok what i have seen from going down to b dock is that there big partiers there just thought i would give u the heads up. We have some good friends(bonebender, drag-n-ballz, hooked up, feelin erie, and reel people) that are on there so we prob will run to to each othere over there.
  6. Robert what dock are you gonna be on this year, we have a few buddies on D and B might and well stop and say hello if were over in the area. Your slippin in harbor view right?
  7. Thanks robert thats whats i needed, hey i dont need i boat i can cast lead core off the peir lol
  8. when we fish steelhead. The one thing we look for is cold water with a temp break and scum lines. When we fish steelhead we run high divers with orange and put out as many birds as possible with orange spoons. I like this water our deep cuz you cant put out 18-23 lines when were out there we run riggers for lakers we put out any yellow spoon or tin and with a green fly down deeep big lakers are usually found. I really like this fishery cuz its a lazzy mans fisherey, get out there by 9-10 and come in by 3 with a boat load of fish cant gett anybetter.
  9. Thats a great idea. I might have to come use somthing like for our boat but if had a to take picture of all the spoons i would have 30-40 pages lol
  10. I really like them for my high divers. I run them on 30lbs fireline. The big thing that i like about them is the fact that i can run long leads on my divers. When the fish are kinda spooky i can fish a spoon back 50ft then set the diver. I dont run the lite bite system i have the ones with the out it. The reason that i like them the most is there a little tricky to use at first but once you do it a few times its really easy. I mean come on i was 12 when i started running slide divers.
  11. Yeah robert right behind me might be a little hard on gramps heart lol. Anytime were are out there give the Bob-along a shout on 72.
  12. yep has a few more rod holders and usually a first mate siting in the back now.
  13. 37 pounds 9 ounce king salmon 2001 Bob Ward aka bob-along. Giggest king out of ludington for the year. White flasher green crinkle fly. The fish was caught down south of the project later named Bobs hole after this thing was caught. I have heard to story over 10 times ands its great one to be told. He had people out fishin with him they got sick he took them back to dock. He went out fishing after he dropped them off. he set two riggers and time he went to the wheel the rigger popped was scremming out line got the other rigger up and chased the beast down after 1 hour of fighting he cought and landed this fish by him self.
  14. I know that it might help some but its not the real thing. What everyones first spread there going to put in the water for 2010. I know that mine has been going threw sence oh late november. I wanna know what port, where u think the fish might be, what rod what bait ect. Sence im not a sorthen port fishermen and the brown in ludvill havent done much in the last 5-7 years i wont start fishing untill may 25 or so dependin on the weather. For the shake down trip i think i will be running 10 color with DW ss, 7 color with reg ms, 5 color with a mag DW, 3 color with somthing orange, wire diver with blue bubble 8inch spin doc with matching fly, slide diver will have 6 inch green spin doc with seaweed fly trimmed down to smaller size. PS rigger DW SS, SS rigger mag MS. I prob will be fishing the shelf 59-04 in 30s-31.5 or so. It was kinda fun all ready planning out the first trip of the year and it almost half way threw feburary.
  15. I like four riggers when i have fished on the bonebender(39 searay) and dragin-ballz (30 taira pursuit). They both have 4 riggers and they have about the same size boat as you. They run them so you have the back fairly open. When i have fished with them nettin is a breez you have 7-9feet to net with so the riggers are a little close together but they never tangle them.
  16. We have the fish hawk X4 now we had the 840 on the boat for good to 12 years and had nothing bad to say about it. But the x4 is sweet the probe is smaller wich calls for less drag and the head unit is really nice when your setting rods in the dark and can see what the temp in from the helm to the stern.
  17. Im a fan of spoons and plugs on the high divers and 8" and 11" spin doc with flys and squid on the low wires.
  18. Hes the a charter boy who run the black 31' taria. If your in your way you will know it he will be barrling down you with out turnning. He owns yeck lure co.
  19. and i thought i was hardcore when i run out of gas for my mr heater and have to fish with the shante temp below 55 lol
  20. Ahh robert your killin me with the talk of ludington. Is it spring yet. Im ready for polecat to start telling people off on the radio
  21. That is somthing that should be figured in to. I was running a full core 120 down on a rigger and i had a full core on a board. A 10lbs pound king hit on the rigger down 120 and came up and got hooked in the core on the board. So when running long srw keep your rods minimal really deep.
  22. Your right on track. We usually run a 2 or 3 color on a rigger but when im running really deep i have put full cores on it. Where you attach your board is where you put it in the release. When you run SRW have it your deepest rigger. Theres alot of line out there and if you run three to four riggers keep the ones closest to the srw higher with shorter leads. I bet you could run copper on it i dont know why not. I have not heard of people running copper on riggers.
