  1. Mike, maybe that rampage 380 could break the ice.... he he let me know and I'll follow with my Sea Ray.... oh i can run th heater with the Genie on as well.......
  2. Is there a place where young mariner wanna bees can apply and get a job aboard a vessel?
  3. Yes I just seen where my fishing shop just took delivery of a new load of them, even sent for 2 8'6" rods from Milwaukee for me. Put 2 convector 45's on them, can't wait to us them.
  4. gentlemen, hat was very inspiring, I'm learning so much just reading other posts....but ho do you know how deep your dipsey is when your running on the outside..like I'm uing wire line now on all my dipsy's but if ru out 200 feet, how do I know how deep it will be at....
  5. OK that sucks, how'd they break Dude, and what we're you pulling in with them? These rods seem strong, and your the first to tell me that they broke on you.
  6. Welcome aboard Lord of the rings....Now lets see some FREE freight........I know it cuts into profits but your not inking money anyways......Just a joke.
  7. Wow, and I'm the one who hasto thank all of you the most, I come into this site, not even worthy of your answers....Only fishing twice for Kings, and yet you've answered every question, every stupid little thinkg I've asked about.....Thanks to all of you and Thanks Mike....for this site and all that you do with it, I know it takes a lot of time to develop something like this site.............I thank you, and there will be more questions. Robert
  8. Well thats good to know, I also looked into convector rolle rods, wow are they expensive,3x as much as a Blue Diamond.... Well they are too rich for my blood.
  9. Well I have a C-80 Chartplotter on board the boat, but it's a little cold out right now to sit on it and play, plus it's at a Fair grounds where I store it so it's about a 10 mile drive there. Yes they are so Nice to have onbloard the boat, I cannot zero in on the bottom though, but I am planning on getting a Fish Finder hooked up to it, so I can at least see if the Kings are down there, under the boat....Someday.........its' expensive.
  10. Wow, Now Mike you know that the salmon do not care what boat you use to Hunt them, they aren't biased like the fishermen are...so that said, I'm sorry I cannot buy you something that you only WANT and not NEED, as much as I'd like, it won't Help you catch any bigger or better tasting Salmon. though you may look better in it, it doens't matter, you won't be able to take it out as much because the cost of fuel will certainly limit your fishing adventures...( see how I'm talking you out of this). In this horrible economy one must put away our wants and only purchase what we truely need...and thus allowing us to HIT the Pond more often, to fish for the illusive Mr. King Salmon.... I am your friend and you must understand it's only STUFF that we want...We must be happy with what STUFF we already own. (Words from the great BOLTMAN)
  11. I'm sure he is, I need weights and still can't figure out planner baords... but I will and then there's rail mounts for rod holders..... Mike said I needed those, but Mike doesn't want to buy them for me, for which I do not understand.....Now I like Mike..and I feel he's a good guy,Ah hell he doesn't need to buy those for me, I don't want those on my radar arch anyways... I am sure to buy more things at "Fish On" But I'm also sure that Willis would love you guys to stop in and take a look at what he has....I'm still amased that he's going to let me trade in my rods and reels I bought in the fall.... Now that's customer service...at it's best....
  12. Well it's official, I' going to "Fish On" in spring lake Saturday and picking up my 2 new Okuma Blue Diamond 8.6 rods and Connvector45's,for my birthday, Captain Willis(who ownes Fish On) is one great guy, I bought 2 set ups last fall never used them and he's allowing me to trade them in on these two new Wire Rod Setups...with 1000' of wore on each reel.....I can't wait to set them in the water and go deep with some Dipsey's taking them deep and out far... Guys Visit Captain Willis at his new place in Spring Lake.... "Fish On" Rocks.... I'm sure I'll pick up a few more items while I'm there also....
  13. Actaully i was looking for a Topo of Grand Traverse Bay, I'm looking for where "Mr King Salmon" could be hinding,in the drop offs and cliffs or even valley in the Bay, they're there I know it... I'll find him or Her...Getting a lil excited here.
  14. Ok My browser wasn't scrolling down far enogh onto the page, I got them now, thanks Guys I really appreciate your help.
  15. I was reading all about that the other day thinking of order that book, it sounds great they even sent down scuba divers to stydy the depths each Dipsey went down to with different lines... I'll probably order it soon.
  16. I can't seem to find any of the free charts to view, without having to buy them...
  17. I know there's a link to charts at the top of the home page, but doesn anyone know where you can look at charts online without having to buy them, I'm trying to plan a trip over the 2 week vacation around the 4th of July...? Let me know. Robert
  18. The Wife bought me a Magnum Flounder pounder yesterday........Is she trying to tell me something????? I don't know, but if it glows, it goes...... in her bag and then into the tackle box.
  19. Fishing Lingo... Go figure... I'm ok that's for clearing it up
  20. WHat is a Clean Spoon???? You guys said there's no stupid questions!!!!
  21. Ok OK With every new Toy you guys mention I have to look it up in the GOOGLE, to see how to use them, I learned on Keatings Kings last night DVD.. that my Mono is going to stretch to far and not get me all that deep.. I'm assumming I'm getting down at least 40 feet in 60FOW... but I may be wrong, so what are these Dive Bombs you guys are talking about now and how do they attach...I see what they are but.....
  22. Thanks for the confidence, it's greatly appreciated but, when I say I'm a beginner I don't lie..... we caught 2 kings last year, and they we're small, wish I'd have caught the King that my wife saw near her feet while wading onto the shore in Ludington.....I have never really seen anyone walk on water.....until that afternoon in Ludington... she said it was a monster, I have to beleive her, I'm married to her.. How many seasons determines whether your seasoned or unseasoned?.....
  23. We use the DNR Ramp near the lighthouse, it's fine, but the Docks are very short, I have to spin the boat around and let the Wife get on from the swim platform, sometimes that a little tricky in the wind at Ludington.
  24. We have a 32 foot Sea Ray Sundancer, takes a lot of water to launch her, but if you say they launch 30's out of there I can do it... thanks for the information
  25. I don't know where the first trip out will be but I'm thinking Ludington, I would like to try Manistee later, but do not know how that ramp looks, I do not know if it's large enough for our boat, but I believe someone will let me know on this thread for sure.. So Stay shallow is what I'm reading....I can understand that because of the warm water is near the shore...Don't have planner boards yet though, I'll look into that as spring nears.
