  1. Got on the water at 3 p.m. and went west to 220' of water and took a north troll. Temp break at about 90' down, middle 40's. Trolled to the stick and went 5 for 7 along the way. 1 steelhead, 1 coho that went about 8#, 1 laker and 2 kings. 3 of the 5 came on a JP Slammer Orange Crush on a 5 color. Didn't mark many fish, all fish caught came on a north troll with the wind and waves at our back. Fishing was quite slow all over from what I heard.

  2. I spent from the 2nd through the 10th of July slipped at the Ludington City Marina, but because of the windy conditions I didn't get out on the water until the 7th. Starting on the 7th, I ran the 3 different spoons given to me by Jim in rotation with my other lures in the presentation. Of about the 30 fish that I caught between the 7th and the 10th, all but 3 or 4 fish came on either cut bait, or flasher and fly on wire dipsey. I did not catch any fish on the JP Slammer spoons, but I do not feel that this weighs negatively on the spoon. It is obvious that these spoon are made to a high quality, the paint and the application of the reflective tape is as good or better than any other spoon I have seen. There is no doubt these spoons will catch fish, it is just that spoons in general did not catch fish for me this last week. I would not hesitate to recommend this product, and would be interested in adding more colors to my arsenal. Thank you for allowing me to try your quality product.

  3. I just got the Chamberlain downrigger releases that I ordered after reading about them on this website. Hard to believe there are no dealers listed in Michigan. These look to be the perfect release system. Really excited about trying them out this weekend.
