  1. that looks just awsome, ready to do one for me?
  2. So wanted to attent! Dumb ASE tests, who needs a mechanic license anyhow? Well we will see ya around the docks.
  3. Took a trip with some friends last night. Ran out to 150, had to do some reties and rigger maintance. Trolled back in marked very little. Picked up a 2-3 pound steelhead in about 105 fow on 2 color with wonderbread stinger spoon. Into 50 fow picked a nice laker on dodger fly off the rigger, measured just over 7 lbs. switched some stuff out tried for browns in shallow for a bit with nothing happening. Made a turn out and headed back south and boated a nice king in 26 fow on 2 color with wonderbread ss. Was calling it a night and trolling into the harbor when rigger popped with a hawg wild on it, another laker. started to pull the other rigger out and had another small laker on the same dodger fly, tossed him back. So in all a good night fishing going 5 for 5. Good luck out there those kings can't be to far away. Jeff Blue Collar,
  4. Hey guys, heading out tommorrow afternoon to see how the action is, I'm hearing good reports for browns, but were gonna run deep to do some maintance on some rigs and reties, If anybody is out give a shout out to Blue Collar on 68. Hoping for a nice afternoon.
  5. I run both copper and lead, usually lead on one side and copper on the other. I have found that their are times when the copper is money and vice versa. I am switching both of my dipsey rods to wire this year so I am excited to see if their is a big difference. I use a general rule of thumb I was taught, tie on the leader and go 13 revolutions of the handle for the leader. It has worked well for me so far.
  6. I ran all offshore board this year, Lost one board late in the season, so I thought I would give the church board a try. was pulling a 300 copper set up on it and it had fish on twice but both times the board turned and dove instead of staying up. That really pissed me off, I allmost lost stuff. the the line release in the back pulled out of the board. Needless to say was not impressed, I'll stick to my offshore boards.
  7. I,m looking at getting some bird trees for planer boards then if squeezed in a fish hawk. I plan on rearranging my side gunnels to fit rod holders and just make them cleaner, I do like those boxes Mark posted might have to find a spot for some of those. Right now I just throw plano boxes in the the cuddy allong with all the rods.
  8. Is your system a closed system, if so you could obtain a block tester that reads the amount of combustion gases in the cooling system. Thats how we do it on cars anyway. Then also if not sure do a cylinder leakage test like stated earlier. A cumbustion gas tester is just a blue fluid in a container that turns yellow or greenish when gasses are present
  9. Well welcome to Muskegon, I keep my boat at Bluffton bay and will be out this weekend sometime, Give a shout out, Muskegon was hot last week but have not heard much yet this week. Jeff Blue Collar
  10. Check your oil, make sure it's not milky. Next if you think is a head or head gasket, run it for a minute then pull the plugs and check to see if any are wet. If they are then you have a issue.
  11. Muskegon 9/6" Took both a morning and night trip yesterday, Morning went to 250 to 300 just north and went 7 for 11 mostly steelhead some small kings. Just about everything in upper 60fow, all spoons with black and chrome and blue and chrome being best. Nothing on flies. Evening trip staying in 120 to 170 mostly. Went 5 for 10 or 11, had some rookies on board that were not the fastest at getting to the rods to set hooks mostly on riggers. Had a ripper at dark that broke the 25 lb power pro backing on my 150 copper. lost the board and all. New stinger black and chrome with a touch of rasberry went three times. Other than that all greens and glows. Again only one hit on a fly. Good luck Jeff Blue Collar
  12. Ya didn't say how ya ended up, We also fished Muskegon last night, started hitting em in 130 all the way to 170 from 6pm to 9:30 and ended up 10 for 13, 5 Lakers 3 Kings 2 Coho. Mostly spoons but some flys, 40 to 100 down. knocked one off with the net and one swimming around with a dipsy and 11 inch paddle and fly
  13. Outdoorsman in Jenison also stocks both strips and whole
  14. Looks like harbor patrol/combat fishing in Muskegon, checking the web cam looks like a nice night.
  15. Set line around 5 in 130 and trolled sw all the way out to 250 good marks at 90-100 all the way, we were 5 for 8 by 7pm then it seemed to shut off for us. we picked up one more and lost two others so ended the night 6 for 11. Had a tought time keeping them hooked up on flies with 11 inch paddles, That was still our best method though behind dipsy mag ring 200 back on 1.5. they also wanted to at around 3 mph on the the gps,
  16. Nice job guys, I hope the fish are still around tomorrow.
  17. Well after reading everyones reports from last night I feel we did pretty good. I ran to 150 just south of the channel. Started setting line and made our way to 200, lots of marks in the 180 range but nothing going. Took a small king at 200 fow on 3 color with agent orange spoon, trolled back in to around 140 on a north troll and the screen was stacked from 100 to the bottom at around 8pm, 150 copper with a meat rig started ripping that was a nice 14.5 lber, Braid dipsy out 200 with 11 inch white paddle and green fly went and came undun, other dipsy out 200 with a brand new ace-hi wonderbread j plug starte ripping, I fought it for about 5min then the line snapped and my new j was gone, other dipsy with the 11 went again, along with rigger down 115 with green frog spoon. we had a double but lost the dipsy, landed a 4-5 lb laker, wish we could have stayed out longer, but it was dark and raining, but what a riot after 8 pm.
