Hello Member's

Well I been trying to go on a diet and thought that I would try and bake some pan fish instead of frying them up. Well today I tried it and man it tast alot better than fried fish. Well here is how I did it with bluegills and crappies.

1- Clean your pan fish and rise off good. Then put them on a board to let dry off. Make sure that fish are bone less for your smaller kids to eat.

2- The things that you will need to have is. A baking pan, and a dish to put your flour into so you can mix the fish in. Now the flour that I use is called fry magic and I use it alot for all my fish and other big game also. You must try this flour because it has all the seasoning in it and you do not have to add any salt or pepper to your food.

3- Set your oven at 375 deg. and then put your fish in the bowl that you have filled with your fry magic flour mix. Shake your bowl really good with the fish in it. Spray your baking pans with some cooking spray and then you can put your pan fish on your baking pans. Turn your timer on for 10-13 min. and put the pan fish in your oven. When your timer go's off, turn your pan fish over and set your timer for 5 more minutes.

4- After your fish gets all baked, this is what they should all look like. I had my wife, both my kids, and my youngest daughter's boyfriend over. With all of us here I didn't have enough fish for me to eat. They was so good that they couldn't stop eating them. Looks like I will have to catch alot more fish so I can have some for me...:spiteful:

Well hpefully you will take some time and try this out. I mean it is really good and really good for you to. Till then hope you can get out and take your family out fishing.

Fish on,

Caznik:nyam:

Hey Rich, Ill give it a whirl. I have a 5# bag of Drakes Mix, that I will use instead. SHAKE AND BAKE GOOD BUDDY:grin: TYVM. Throw a few frozen French fries on another pan, and cook at the same time.:)

Trust me,

I thought that I was nuts baking my bluegills and crappies. It was so good that I will never fry another pan fish again.

MMMM Good,

Caznik

Well Member's,

I had some bluegills frozen in my freezer that I happen to take out a few days ago and I baked them to. This time they was not deboned and all the bones was still in the fish. I thought that the bluegills boneless was better tasting then the ones with the bones in them. But anyways, if you do bake them with bones and not boneless. It takes 15 min. for each side to get them cooked all the way at 375 deg.

They was still good to me,

Caznik
