Aaron Nusbaum Posted May 5, 2025 Posted May 5, 2025 We trolled from 7 to about 11 am just south of Holland working 35 to 55 feet. We wanted to go a little deeper but the ripping east wind made us a bit uncomfortable. We ended up 1-1 with an 8# king. I suspect the weather was no help but they seem pretty scattered and random right now. littleboat Posted May 5, 2025 Posted May 5, 2025 Great catch under unpleasant conditions. Hopefully, it will start to warm quicker, and the wind will settle out soonerSent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App 1

FBD Posted May 6, 2025 Posted May 6, 2025 Was out Sunday in the exact same water. Hit on a blue dolphin fixed slider down 25 never caught up to it. Hit on a mixed veggie nailer out 60 on a slide diver, missed that. Neither seemed to be big or very motivated fish. Tap tap stuff. 5# brown out in 45’ weird on a magnum Stinger mongoose out 75’. Had enough of getting beat up went to the beach barely got set up and hit the jackpot with a fat brown off a mixed veggie nk28 50’ back and 25’ out on a diver. CO checked us he was cool. Glad he didn’t ask me to dig anything out as we were bucking straight into them at the time. 1
Reel-y-hooked Posted May 6, 2025 Posted May 6, 2025 Nice catch for your hard work. We did a quick shake down yesterday out of port Sheldon. The only thing we forgot was the cooler . Got lines set at 6:30 pm and pulled them at 7:45 pm. Port high diver back 100 in 55 fow with a spotted mixed veggie went and we missed him. Starboard rigger down 45 in 55 fow with a green dolphin took a nice spring king. It was pretty bumpy and all the gear worked well so we ended the shake down and headed for the trailer. 4
