DNR’s wildlife/fisheries budget split earns ‘outrage’ of deer hunters group

In a strongly worded letter to the Minnesota DNR Commissioner, Mark Johnson of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association expressed the group’s “outrage†that from 2002 through the proposed 2008-09 budget, some $25 million in hunting license revenues will have been spent to cover deficits in the DNR’s fisheries operation.
