TAKIN IT EZ
I am adding 2 more rods to my collection. I currently run 6 rods total each time out for 2 fishermen. I am set up with 4 riggers, 2 out the back and 4' booms off the sides. We also have run sliders and stackers as well as lines off walleye planer boards. I thought I might add a couple of diver rods. I bought 2 Heartland 9'6" dipsey rods. My question is "what size walker divers shoud I get....107 or 124?" All my fishing is on the south end of Lake Michigan in 40-105 FOW. Thanks for any help. sslopok
I have only run the 107's. Chart says with 150 foot of line out I am running 50 ft. down. That is with it set to 2.
jimcr
A 124 on a 1.5 setting will go down 1 for every 2 out on wire. might be close to that with braid . The 124 dives more than the 107. I use the 107s early in the year when we might be fishing coho. We were fishing in 200 feet of water targeting 100 ft . took 215 feet on a #2 setting to reach that on wire. The 124s are heaver than 107s . So it would depend on what you targeted depth would be , but I would go with the 124s myself.
ekbelt
I would go with 124, you can get deeper
Line Dancin
107s for early spring and the 124s
Nailer
124s will run shallow if needed, and will get you deep when needed. I use 124 all the time.
medic
Totally with Nailer on this one...You can get the 124 to run shallower, but you can't get the 107 to run as deep. I only run 124's...

TAKIN IT EZ
Thanks to everyone for their response. I'm going with the 124mm in green and black colors. Rudey
sslopok
Well since everyone likes the 124's i bought one. Had to have a convector and rod to go with it too. Gotta love northwoods:)
