Nailer Posted September 4, 2011 Share Posted September 4, 2011 Flat calm and stars at 6 am so we headed to my BIL's boat. got set up just as the sun was coming up with just a 6 rod spread. Shortly after hitting 95 fow the diver/White paddle/big Weenie Poofster take a rip an gets off. Reset that and the 350 32# blood Run/white/green halo spindoctor/Big Weenie Goat Pecker fly starts ripping. I Know longer grab that rod and the diver takes off again. Before we could get the fish in we see lightning. As soon as we get the 2 fish in, we are forced to pull lines and go in:mad:. Both nice kings in 95 fow, the rigs where targeting 70' down. Lightning will light the rods up good, once you see a bolt its time to get outta there before you get blasted hard enough and are stuck repeating the words "slider took a s--t" similar to the movie Escanaba in da moonlight.
