free4all Posted July 30, 2011 Share Posted July 30, 2011 Fished from #1 bouy to about 5 miles north. 24-28 ft. of water. Have been picking up mostly limits all summer in this area but could only manage four fish. Tried trolling anywhere from .09-2.0 s.o.g. Tried multiple colors, depths, spoons, harnesses, nothing really worked. Only marking a fraction of the fish that I usually mark. Not for sure if the storms scattered them or if the warm water is moving them deeper. Harnesses kept getting picked clean from what I believe were small perch seeing as we caught an occassional one of these. Took today off to do up keep on my vehicles but I'm thinking of trailoring up to Augres in the a.m.and trying some deeper water. There are still good numbers of fish being taken shallow and deep. This time of year the in between water usually is sparse picking. If you hit the shallows do it early.
