  1. Fished from #1 bouy to about 5 miles north. 24-28 ft. of water. Have been picking up mostly limits all summer in this area but could only manage four fish. Tried trolling anywhere from .09-2.0 s.o.g. Tried multiple colors, depths, spoons, harnesses, nothing really worked. Only marking a fraction of the fish that I usually mark. Not for sure if the storms scattered them or if the warm water is moving them deeper. Harnesses kept getting picked clean from what I believe were small perch seeing as we caught an occassional one of these. Took today off to do up keep on my vehicles but I'm thinking of trailoring up to Augres in the a.m.and trying some deeper water. Does anyone know what the bite has been like up there in the last week or so?
  2. Fished 1-3 miles west of bouy 1 all three days. Fri. 1 fish short of two man limit. Sat. two man limit. Sun. three man limit. Pulled harnesses all three days, ran bb's and inlines. All but five fish came off bottom bouncers. White blades took most fish with purple coming in second. Best bite for me came at 1.4-1.6 s.o.g.. Nice fish, most around 2.5 lbs. with a 4.3 lber taking big fish. Got a little rough Fri. but Sat. was great. Thought the bite might stop Sun. with the calmer water but if it did we were gone. Great weekend, great weather, great times.
