Kings Around Posted May 31, 2009 Share Posted May 31, 2009 Finished up the morning 11 for 19. We fished North of Muskegon 5-6 miles and covered from 175 to 225 feet. Purple or Orange was the ticket for this morning with most of the fish coming in the top 45 feet of water. Best Bates were Purple Passion (k91) took 4 hits, Pumpkinseed Glow (K16) went 2 times, Purple Thunder Glow (24) took 2 hits. For the baits with orange, Orange Ice (k41) and Orange ice on Gold (k41G) accounted for 2 hits each, Mixed Veggies (k47) and Mixed Veggies on Gold (k47g) also accounted for a couple of hits each. The Fly bite was non-existent. Finished with 6 kings, 4 Steelhead and a 11lb pig of a lake trout. 7 color, rigger down 45 and magnum dipsy back 115 took most hits.
