Walleye fishing ranged from fair to excellent, with most boats getting fish on crawler harnesses in the shallow waters, or Hot-n-Tot's out deeper. Good spots to fish were just off Linwood and the Kawkawlin River, the Black Hole and the Callahan Reef. Good numbers of channel cats were taken in the Hot Ponds. Very good walleye action was reported straight out from the Quanicassee River and straight west of the mouth of the Sebewaing River and south to Fish Point. Near Caseville, walleye were caught in waters 17 to 19 feet deep from the Slot off Sand Point. The carp are in the shallows and those bow fishing are reminded: If you shoot it, take it home and bury it!

Fished Sunday morning to mid-afternoon and took home 20 keepers with several throw backs and junk fish. Crawler harness still producing. Had to switch to plastic because we went through 4 dozen worms.

Most fish came in 17-20fow east of the spark plug.

I love the name of some of the fishing spots I hear. Why is it called the "spark plug"

Thanks for the report Tom!
