Transducer Mounting Plate

Recommended Posts

Any ideas on a transducer mounting plate for a fiberglass deep V. I will be switching electronics next year so I want to be able to remove and add transducers with out drilling all of the holes in my boat. If any one has set one up let me know how you like it. Thanks Sean

All my gear was installed at the dealership when I bought the boat and have not made any changes below the waterline. Howerver I helped a guy in TX set his up we epoxied a short piece of Oak 2x4 to the transom I think he put a couple screws into the transom for a backup and mounted the transducers on the 2x4.

Look at some plastic cutting boards. You will have to drill some mounting holes but after that you can move or change things easily. The cutting boards are tough and can be worked with standard wood working tools. These cutting boards make great backing plates also. :)
