  1. Had a great day on the water with some great weather for a change had a great crew today 10/03/2009 with them going 16 for 19 with 2 being lakers that were let go. Caught 4, 3 year old kings biggest being over 14 lbs and the rest were steelhead we fished a little south in 200- 350 fow the kings coming 80 down with a white paddle with KRW Day Break Fly and the steelhead coming on mostly leadcore with orange spoons 2-3-4-5-colors. The boat will be in the water for about 2 1/2 weeks yet so there is still time to get in on this action before the end of fishing

Fishsniffer, look for the fish to be shallow after this blow this should be a great week for fishing if your coming to manistee this weekend give me shout on channel 7 adventure 1, hopefully the weather holds like there saying. I wasn't trying to hijack your thread just trying to show you what you have to look forward too. Good Luck this weekend.
  3. It was a good idea to postpone had to cancel all weekend trips this makes for 7 weekends in a roll that we fished in bad conditions or postponed trips :mad:the week ahead looks good but will change like it always does. Here's a picture of a 27 #er we caught:grin: on friday evening.
  4. Great Job Frank, I'm back in Manistee and ready to fish I came back over on tuesday. We had a great season soon as the weather got better. I'm planning on coming back over next year will most likely stay until mid July. Well now it's time to switch gears and fish for salmon my first trip is Saturday morning. Great job again and stay on them fish.

  7. I put a good quality barrel swivel, then 24" behind that a good quality ball bearing swivel then connect to the flasher. I run this set up on all rigger, copper and lead core rods and get no line twist.

Went on a little fishing trip today with friends to put the boat in Ludington for winter storage well other then all the rain and wind today it was great went 16 for 20 with 1 brown, 2 cohos, 10 steelhead, 3 lakers that were let go for another fight and lost 4 other fish in 3 hours of fishing fish were caught in 170-190 fow down in the 4's-5's by the point what great way to end the season catching a lot of fish with good friends thanks guys for great day on the water and the last trip for the 2008 season

Fishing was great today but the weather wasn't rain and wind but went 15 for 18 7 Kings, 7 Steelhead and 1 Coho 180-280 fow was best with 5-6-8-10 colors of lead all working slide divers back 160 and riggers down 35-45 anything with orange was working double orange crush was the best. There is still time to get in on this great action all we need is good weather and a phone call from you 2 more weeks in the water then the next time the boats in the water it will be in the Saginaw bay for walleye fishing in 2009 Hope everyone has a great winter

Had a 2 person trip today started fishing at 2:45 set up in 100 fow in the 14's went 7 for 11 by 5:00 4 adults from 12 to 16 lbs and 3, 3 year olds no bigger then 8-9 lbs one fish came on green bubble on wire back 180 the center rigger was our best today with a white flasher with BTI Glow fly that taking 7 bites getting 5 down 105 the other one came on 13 colors with 4 oz dive bomb at 5 colors with the same set up we mark a lot of fish down 100 and below and piles of bait we had 64 degrees on top and 62 down 100 our best was 150- 190 fow after this weeks blow steelhead fishing should be great its not uncommom to have 25-30 fish on per trip in October.

Had a great day fishing today went 11 for 12 all Kings up to 12 lbs. lead core was the best from 3 colors to 13 colors Blue bubble and the new DW SS Golby spoons were the best only had 1 bite on a 45 rigger a 4 lb. King. 3 Fish came on Divers 1 on meat, 1 on a flasher fly, 1 on a spoon. We fished from 85-100 fow
