  1. impressive box thanks for the report
  2. great report Dennis! you were glad to be down south - so many boats up here with tourney underway
  3. nice job a heck of a variety too, says pug
  4. thanks guys went again this AM and got some more bite wasn't as dynamite as yesterday but still good especially early we hooked 16 here's one of the bigger ones
  5. haha thanks Seafoam - pug and I were wondering if you were up & about as we passed through thee narrows
  6. fished solo this AM with outlaw PUG - first fish was 540am and my biggest this year about 38" and by 730am had gone 6for11 and started letting em go - this was just me and pug and a 3rod spread am not going to share a bunch more specifics just for the sake of avoiding copycats from the masses with the tourney underway and the guys I know in the tourney will ring my neck if I do
  7. MacBaits in Holland has the smaller SilverHorde or at least they did last time I was there...
  8. you run the small plugs like size 3 or the bigger size4 or size5 even? joke on our boat is dad always runs the biggest ones he can find - my boys in particular get mad at me and PUG for this but I swear it works and at heart I am always in fall fishing mode
  9. great job! this southern bite is something else isn't it!?
  10. Got all our work done for the day so last minute PUG decides to declare this evening Ladies Night on the Parker – calm seas made it quite pleasant – flies were murder at first but later a breeze kicked up and that helped What a ferocious bite it proved to be! Went 16 for 25 despite doing a lot of laughing and screwing around - even with a later start while setting lines in 150fow we started getting into them – a little later as the 8 oclock hour rolled around the bite shifted to 120-130fow and ramped up even more HIGHLIGHT of the night was PUG getting checked at sea by the DNR – he was pretty rattled at first having them appear in his sacred tribal southern fishing waters but PUG plays by the rules so he had nothing to worry about – no honestly… the DNR guy was about the nicest I have ever met – he checked my license and smiled at the kids and confirmed our life jackets and then felt obliged to let us photograph him with PUG – also funny was I had slowed the F300 down to 450rpm while they came up alongside and that was just enough to make our copp200 with size4 green ladder plug that had been quiet all night drop down another 10-15 feet into the cold water and it immediately went off – that quickly turned into a quadriple – there were two times we had 4 fish on at once tonight. Here is a run down of what worked: Rigger down 65 with SilverHorde green glow plug – went 6 times Rigger down 72 with Moonshine Mag spoon – went a couple times probably Low Dipseys dialed on 1 out 190 and also 130 and also 150 and also 120 – these went countless times and we had spindoctors on them with the chrome ones being the best High Dipsey dialed on 2.5 out 300 with spindoctor got walloped a few times Copp300 with GreenJeans Mag Moonshine spoon went 5 or 6 times Frozen Toad spoon on Copp250 played ball once Copp200 with size4 green ladder got smoked (thanks to us slowing the boat down for the CO) Copp350 with both the green splatterback plug and also the blue splatterback plug went numerous times 20250729_221724.mp4 20250729_220518.mp4 20250729_220216.mp4 20250729_214057.mp4
  11. yes sir I think you had em more dialed in tonight and I should've been over by you especially in the beginning
  12. incredible to have reports like this out of south haven this time of year! great job - maybe the fish will not slide up to Ludington at all
  13. what a night you had! we were right there along side you for much of it
  14. 13 for 20 similar to Friday night - a little slow starting out but at around 8.15pm things kicked into gear PUG brought the whole calvary this time though and we even had a spectator boat (my aunt & uncle) along side taking pics for a while 60-100 down in that 112-125 fow was best mainly mag spoons again but also some on the jplug and chrome 8" flasher and also frog spindocter for us it was difficult to say one thing worked better than another copp200 copp250 copp300 copp350 high dipsey out 270 low dipseys out 120ish riggers down 70-80 with sliders What a beautiful evening on the water! 20250727_210746.mp4 20250727_214509.mp4
  15. bravo Kevin! nice job & welcome back
  16. ran south and setup just north of Saugatuck to get out of the pack in 125fow some of the best bite I've seen in recent years fish were down in that 80-110 like I suspected (thanks SeaFoam) so ran just 8 rods 16for20 all action was mainly in that 129-134fow doing a SSW troll with ground speed of 2.3 well after dark as we faded in we added more in as shallow as 95fow though last bite was at 10.40pm every rod and lure took a fish and some were picked on more than others - biggest challenge was keeping just 3 or 4 rods in because so many triples etc here is what worked in a crude quick summary: copp350 mag moonshine flounder pounder copp300 mag moonshine greenjeans both riggers with sliders mag moonshine 82 down and 100 down both deep dipseys braid out 150 and 190 copp250 with blue ladder size 4 plug joined party a couple times after dark copp200 chrome red head pluh size4 went in pitch blacl at 10.20pm PUG has has encountered more silver fin though he hardly can remember when... 20250725_220611.mp4 IMG_7876.mp4 IMG_7887.mp4
  17. 3-4 footers out of the north kept it interesting - figured we had to go because we didn't wanna be out done again by WaveDancer setup in 130 and trolled NW out to 145 and eventually swung it around into a south troll which was more comfortable all bites for us came in that 138-144 but I guess that was probably just because that is where we hung out all night zig zagging went 6 for 13 with the bites almost all being matures moonshine mag spoons and other glow spoons performed well tonight (riggers down 45-65, copp200, copp250, copp300) meat participated 3 or 4 times too on deep diver out 120 and also copp350 honestly everything that could have gone wrong did and we broke more lines and suffered more tangles than usual... it felt humbling for sure! at one point had a copp150 break above the board and lost the whole stinking package including a lucky jplug still a fun night to be out there... fishing in taller seas makes it all the sweeter when it works out and for pug it did work out because while he lost just a pig of a king on a rigger slider when the reel jammed he did still manage to score on this 22#er on copp250 even after it tangled into 2 dipseys coming in IMG_7453_1.mp4
  18. haha ok so buoy says 3.3 but PUG is fired up and we are heading out
  19. nice work guys and Seafoam either you got a small profile cooler or that one is a Beast
