  1. Love the Coldwaters. They worked great for us.
  2. I read some reviews on the Taco lights. They were not very good.
  3. Bob, Drove past a couple today. Take 131 north. I believe there were a couple, in kalkaska, or a town or two north. I should have paid more attention I guess, not much snow up there yet.
  4. Kris, Welcome to the site, great place to find any information you want. Welcome to Hudsonville too!
  5. you don't need classes or a clue to drive a boat. Many people do their best to prove it every weekend, be it at the launch or on the water.
  6. We had a ripper on a diver Saturday that took the diver, paddle and meat rig. $45 buh bye.
  7. I'm not going to say one way or another. But his left arm looks odd I see the elbow but where would he be holding it? If it is real that would be quite the catch!
  8. Noticed the same in GH. Saturday we caught 9 and they were all empty and we caught most well after the morning feed.
  9. There was a rumor of one north of GRand Haven, caught in the river and a male, highly unlikely. We fished GH Saturday and Sunday and did not hear anything about it.
  10. you did a lot better than us yesterday. We knocked a nice one off at the back of the boat, after that it was very quiet. Saturday we did everything the same and boated 9. This year has not seemed too consistent. I am pretty sure you were next to us heading in. We talked for a minute.
  11. Lakeshore Outfitters is at the Saugatuck exit. Fish on is on m104 just before sparing lake. Outdoorsman has a decent selection. Bought some there Friday.
  12. The recommendations will be all over the board. Spoons no spoons, Plugs no Plugs, meat no meat. On and On. Here's the deal. I can leave all rods identical. One day it will be a dipsy bite, other days riggers and meat, some days copper and Flies. We have hooked most of our big fish on meat and flies this year. Most of those on the coppers. Our spoon bite has been non existent for the last few weeks. We may run slower than the guys claiming spoons are the only thing working, thus making the spoons run poorly. Certain days it is certain directions. Current affects which direction the fish hit better. This year had been humbling at times. The best bite for us has been right at day light and an hour before dark. IF you go out later or come in earlier, the pickings can be slim. Throw it all out there, see what they are after that day. When you see a trend, get to switching the other poles, when they quiet down, get to switching again. Good luck!
  13. Great Fish!! It got real Quiet this morning after the sun started getting up there.
  14. When you say AM you better be out there Before its bright. We started out 4-4 by 8AM, We shoulda gone in and saved gas at that point. We had one rigger pop after that, nothing there. All of the action was paddles with flies or meat. Both 300 Coppers went Paddles and Flies, Crome/Bloody nose paddle, bluish fly, Chrome and Blue paddle with blue fly. Both riggers went, both white paddles and Meat rigs. One small king that woulda gone back had he not swallowed it to his intestine, one 8 Lb Coho, One 10 Lb King and a 17 Lb King. It was beautiful out there. It is starting to get a bit congested at times though. Some people should fish out in the middle of the lake so they can drive any way they like.
  15. Thanks for the report! Saturday morning cannot come soon enough. Beautiful fish!
  16. bought it at both The Outdoorsman and Fish On.
  17. I saw one at Cabelas. I believe it was an Igloo, but it was nicer than the standard one. It actually had spots for tie downs. Looked pretty nice, I think it was right in that price range to.
  18. Tie them to a paddle or spin doctor. Get some herring strips. I have soaked all of mine in blue Brine. We run them on riggers, dipsy divers or copper. All took hits this weekend.
  19. I heard you did quite well in the morning! Did you end up running any meat?
  20. Went out yesterday afternoon. Lake was nice and got very flat by dark. Started around 160 marking a few fish, headed West. Marked fish best around 220, went as deep as 240. headed north in the 220 FOW area, ended up 6 for 10. three Steelhead, one pretty decent one. Two little kings, released, and one 23 Pounder. Two days in a row, Meat being the best and Flies a close second. Pretty solid night. We did lose a tx-44 and 300 copper, paddle and a Fly, Along with one very acrobatic fish. If you should happen to tangle into it message me. No name on it of course.
  21. Big Weenie meat rigs off of Spin Doctors. We ran them off of Down Riggers, Dipsy Divers, and coppers today. All took fish. Good Luck in the morning.
  22. Started out at 5 AM. They hit fast and furious for a short period this morning. Then it was 1 here and 1 there, but not too fast. They were biting light, a lot of lost fish. We ended up 8-15. MEAT MEAT MEAT. Spoons and Plugs were dead for us. Nothing too huge, 16 Pounder was the best. We were everywhere from 80-240FOW, caught fish everywhere in the top 80. Marked a ton, over all a pretty solid day for us.
  23. Great Fish!! Ditto the report for Grand Haven. Lots of lost, everything on Meat, with a couple of Flies.
  24. Oddly enough it feels pretty good. Back out Saturday morning. Sure hope the big ones are still there and active. Made the billy club today too!
