  1. Alright, so I've come across something interesting. I took my boss and his sons out fishing last Friday evening, went 2 for 4. One 2 lb king and one 20 lb king. Both were clean, silver, fresh fish. My boss said today that he grilled them Saturday for lunch. He said the big one turned to a grayish/white color after a few minutes on the grill and tasted TERRIBLE! The small one turned out great. Both cooked the same way, the meat was very pink when I filleted them the night before. Any one ever had this happen or hear anything similar to this? He was really bummed, it was his first big lake fish and was bummed it turned out terrible.
  2. It is mold growing in the vinyl. Mix baking soda with a little bleach into a paste and apply, let sit overnight, rinse and reapply as necessary. Be cautious of the bleach on the stiching. In my experience you can only treat it- you can never get rid of it completely, short of replacing the vinyl.
  3. I'll work all Saturday afternoon for a plate of tacos and cold beer! Hopefully you get her back before Saturday, Dave!
  4. Any word on the tapatalk address?
  5. Thanks bob, the reels are great! I had one of the okuma classics blow up internally the first time out, but other then that the rest have been perfect.
  6. Slow night for us last night, but ended up being well worth it! Went 2 for 3 2 hits on a 10 color with BLL blue dolphin, landed one king. At the end of the evening, while pulling rods took a HUGE hit on a rigger in 80' of water 71' down on blue and chrome SD with poofster fly. After a long fight we finally got him in the boat. 25 lb king! Biggest fish of my career thus far!
  7. I think maybe I better work on my circle maneuvers a little bit more. thanks for the evening trip Dave!

  11. Black flies were out in full force Saturday!
  12. Both of the larger kings came on BLL green dolphin as well as the 2 fish that were lost. The smaller king came on BLL mixed veggie and the coho came on BLL orange crush.
  13. Launched the boat at 5:30 this morning. Headed straight out to 110 FOW and started to set lines. Trolled south west out to 150. Marked a ton of fish in 130-140 so we headed back there. Ended up 4 for 6. 2 mature kings, 21lb and 19lb. Also a smaller 12 lb king and a coho. Took hits on every thing, riggers, dipseys, and full core on a variety of spoon colors as well. Beautiful morning out on the water, minus all of the flies!
  14. I build custom cabinetry and when we build cabinets for an outdoor kitchen we use a product called Azek. Might be worth checking out, it's reasonably cheap.
