  1. Hey guys, I know its still a few months away until being able to hit the lake again, but i'm getting antsy! Last year was my first year fishing the lake and I didn't do near as well as i had expected. I run 2 riggers off the back, 2 dipseys and 2 boards. I've got a 19ft sportcraft caprice that handles the waves just fine. I guess what i'm looking for is maybe a reputable charter that I can go on for a day to learn depths, color schemes, speed, etc to be able to apply to my future trips this coming summer. Heck, i'd even be willing to just go out on my boat if someone knowledgable would be interested in joining me and showing me the ropes! Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys!
  2. It certainly was a beautiful day yesterday for fishing. Not very often you get to be out there in january without a coat on!
  3. Fished the zoo today. Launched from New Richmond park and headed upstream. Went 3 for 3. First one hit before I could even get the rod in the holder. Beautiful chrome female, 28" hit on a black and orange hot 'n' tot. Second one hit about an hour later on a troll upstream, 27" female on a chartreuse hot 'n' tot. Last one hit on on last troll before heading in for the evening. 24" male, hit on a frog hot 'n' tot. http://www.greatlakesfisherman.com/gallery/files/4/6/8/8/320947_10100252652215131_1083304966_n.jpg' alt='320947_10100252652215131_1083304966_n.jpg'>
  4. Hey Jim, crazy to find you on here. I was the one 2 weekends ago you gave your fish to at the fillet station. I just wanted to thank you for that, maybe someday i can repay the favor!

  5. I plan on hitting the pier friday evening, Todd. I'll let you know how it goes!
  6. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Hit the pier again this evening, went 0 for 1 but they're definitely on their way in. Saw a 20+ lb pulled in on a green loco and another 14 lb on a blue and silver Cleo. The south pier was hot all night as well.
  7. Fished the north pier this morning just before sunrise. Went 2 for 4 both 12lb kings. Had 2 hits on silver and green hot 'n tot and 2 hits on a blue and silver #3 loco spoon. Plan to hit the pier again this evening for some more fun!
