  1. I drift/backtroll/wander aimlessly the St Joe river and wade below the Niles and Berrien Springs dam. Walleye have been plentiful this week below the Niles dam. I haven't been out on my river boat recently but word of mouth is the river has cleared of debris well this last week and has made the boat fishing more productive.
  2. I run a small 20 foot boat with a 8` 6" beam that came with 4 riggers mounted on a removable board. I usually only run 3 at a time, but it's really nice having a backup if needed. I find it especially handy when combat fishing.
  3. Live sound? Would love to eavesdrop on the tactics. Also, a hawt chick wouldn't hurt.
  4. By any chance did the charter boats name start with an O?
  5. I put in next to you at the ramp yesterday morning, chatted with your brother for a bit when I recognized your boat name. Beautiful boat, btw. I saw the combat circle going on off the pier and my buddy wanted to join in, but I argued it was just too early and warm for that, even if the charter boats were in the circle. We set lines at 60 and trolled NW out to 85 or so. Caught one small king at 65 fow on a green splatter Ace High plug on a 200 copper. Only marks we saw other than the occasional Lakers on the bottom were at 80 feet, when we saw a few suspended around 55 feet. On the way back in we marked one huge bait ball with 5 fish feeding off it at 60 feet. I wonder whether they were there when we went out or moved in as the day went on. Either way, I should have jumped in the circle, I would have saved some gas. It's very discouraging, I didn't even go out today.
  6. Haven't had much success out of St Joe either. Agree the most marks, and those are few enough, are in 120 vicinity. Just not catching a lot. Last trip out was Wednesday and we only caught 2, and those were decent size skamania at 95 feet down.
  7. When your laying there trying to talk yourself into getting up, think of how awesome your nap will be when you get back in. It works for me.
  8. http://www.greatlakesfisherman.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19575 Heck of a nice fully rigged boat here, but it's not an outboard. I believe she is still for sale.
  9. So true. When I was active duty, our C.O. was scared to death of the command Master Chief. And rightly so. Also, did I create a dangerous situation by using welding cable for my battery banks?
  10. I predict this guy is going to be catching a lot of fish, and soon.
  11. And it's only $30 for a multi-day tournament. The Michigan weigh station is at Tackle Haven in Benton Harbor.
  12. I've seen both the terms "flasher" and "paddle" used in this thread. Aren't they different types of action, or are they the same thing, just different terms?
  13. Huh. When you kept saying you wanted a tiara I thought you meant a shiny crown. Either one will look good on you.

  15. Hmmmm, one would think you would only need that if you were I duuno piloting a new boat, maybe?
  16. I think ...u can think the steelhead for a 10,000 $$ donation
  17. That's exactly what I did. No leaks so far.
  18. Installing a Fish Hawk X-4, sharpening hooks and wondering where I'll go for continued lessons since TJ Twill sold his boat.
  19. I really enjoyed it as well. Heck, it was worth every penny just for the free swag and sammiches.
  20. Laphroig quarter cask and a Drew Estate Natural.....yum. Booker's Best or Makers Mark is darn good, too
