  1. On the tx 44 board the flag down will cause that. Also the pull pin is supposed to be in the bottom.
  2. Probably not lower numbers its June. Fished the manistee tourney over the weekend. 45 kings in 3 days only had 12 with fin clips. Biggest we had was 14.5 and only5 fish over 10 lbs in the 3 days
  3. Its the weather the kings that r being caught look very healthy in both lakes. Give it some time.
  4. Yes i know about that but do a google search of 45 lb blood run some say it is. 033 some say. 038 in dia. I dont have a micrometer at home to measure it.
  5. Does any one have a 450 of blood run super twist 45 lb super copper on a tekota 800. If so how much backing do you have on it? Or do i have to put it on a convector 55? I tried to fill one today and can only get 375 on it with 700 ft of 50 lb power pro backing.
  6. You get get to the slot at that distance and be in 12-14 fow. Last saturday me and a buddy caught 6 in the slot but then he fished monday night and never marked a fish.. We saw the quad floating this afternoon on the way out. We have been crossing about a half mile south of that spot.
  7. We went out from vasser rd tonight fished 24 fow. Was slow ill be out sunday morning.
  8. One day in november out of manistee fishing steelhead couldnt get a bite under 4.5 mph on the gps.
  9. Part of trolling lake michigan in August. People will hunt you down when they see a boat all alone.
  10. The bath house is north at the state park you cant miss it. the setups you have should work just fine. Im sure the jet divers will catch steelhead and coho. I just havent tried them i use short lead cores 1-5 colors. Very few run the big boards because of the different depths they are trying to cover. If the outside gets a fish with your jet diver you cannot set it on the inside closest to the boat of your 300 copper. What i do when running big boards is bring the planner clip of the 300 copper to the boat put it on the other side of the boat and rest the shallower rod then put the deeper rod back out. It works well running 2 rods per side but is a pita when running 3 so then i use the walleye boards.
  11. Ill be there the 18-22 tony fishing the offshore classic hope to see u there.
  12. Been good tony. Busy working softball with my daughter fishing tournaments. Bought a new house last spring and sold my boat. So now i just fish on my friends boats

  13. Running spoons on jet divers or walker mini disks are best run off big boards. Ive tried it both ways and far more sucsess and fewer tangles with big boards.
  14. That is probably the best solution yet.
  15. Using meat not fishing for it.
  16. You guys that dislike the weigh 5 arent meat fisherman are you? Who cares w ho can kill the most. I want to see somebody put up a 20lb average on a 10 fish tournamet. Never gonna happen but it can happen on a weigh 5
  17. Custom mount check out the mounts on the sea rays on the manistee river at onekama marines docks last ones before the public luanch. One of the guys down there makes them and the work reel slick. He made so for my buddies 31 sea ray.
  18. i run a 13 lb ridgeback on my center rigger and 12 lb sharks on the corners on lake michigan. they all catch fish as do round balls. i do prefer the sharks though. and i know for a fact that lakers off port austin in water you could see bottum in 45ft will hit a lure behind a chrome shark but not a yellow anodized ridgeback trailing same rig of both riggers. even changed hot rod to other rigger. didnt matter all nine lakers in limit came off same rigger with the shark weight. there are days the ridgebacks are smokin hot though to.so its all personal preference.
  19. try it it may work great. ive never tried it but have used smelt and lake herring i caught on drummond island
  20. a buddy of mine has a saber with outboards. it has twin 75 mercs on it. and there is 1 that is docked in grindstone michigan with an outboard. you could always buy one and repower with a transome bracket and the outboard of your choice. propnut has pictures of a starcraft they did this on.
  21. ive got the clarions they work awsome for the long coppers and leads. the high speed is great for clearing lines. i however fish mostly attractors and run a 7 to 9 rod spread. imo i think i would rather have the lower gear ratio of a tekota for FF and meat riggs. but for spoons the high speed is real nice.
