  4. Hi guys i purchased a twin inboard boat this winter, I was just sitting back thinking about stuff i will be doing to the new boat... My question is where would i mount the transducers on the transom with twin inboards? for a fish hawk x4 and more than likly picking up a hds 8.. will i have to get some type of puck or thru hull? i havnt looked at my x4 manual yet and was curious about prop wash and wondering if you guys with twin inboards could put up some info. Thanks!
  5. I agree that we have to have the same scoring system, I just don't see a way to compare results for a final if you have 7 events and we have 5 ( no way im doing 7 events), the only way we could compare would be per event and they should be around same time as well.. we all know the odds of bringing in a 6 15lb average box is going to be better in late August than it would be in early May so if we were to compare points on say a Big Weenie event all 3 BW events should be done around the same time not a month or so apart How do you suggest we have the contest? I have been trying to come up with something that's going to be fair for everyone involved, if we could make something work like you guys did before with the battle of top boats in each league i think that would be the best but it's just tough with like you said the distance between us..
  6. We have a new sponsor this year, Welcome aboard Fish Hawk Big thanks goes out to Trevor please consider them for your next purchase and let these guys know how much we appreciate thier support for the league
  7. Hi guys i wanted some input from the guys that have fished or plan on fishing with us.. we are thinking about changing to a weigh 6 instead of the weigh 5 so all the leagues have the same format, we are trying to come up with some sort of plan to have a contest or champion between all 3 leagues. I am adding a poll to decide if we want to change it, also please post your ideas for some sort of contest/champion It was brought to my attention that we may have a guy fish solo so the weigh 6 wouldnt be to good for that guy
  8. I run all blood run in these lengths and love it stuff catches fish... only leadcore i use anymore is a couple 5 colors once in awhile 175' 32lb 225' 45lb 350' 45lb
  9. Here are a few returning sponsors for 2013 please consider them for your next purchase, thank you guys for your continued support Blood Run Tackle Big Weenie Brand Warrior Lures Jamie from Jp Custom Rods will be making another rod to give to the 2013 points champion
  10. I,d like to try and make maybe the sept event we,ll see how it goes i,m already doing 10 other tourneys this year 5 with shfl, brown blast, st joe, south haven and saug pro ams and the dreamweaver charity. maybe we can do something like a battle for the sept event? and have all 3 leagues involved..i have nothing scheduled in sept for shfl
  11. Thought i had some pics but couldn't find them so i tied up one, the stretch cord works really good, you can stretch the heck out of it and it really tightens up the mylar (stold it from my daughter) if your wondering what that green head is.. its a piece of a crazy straw, you can pick up a pack of 5 or 6 at the dollar store for a buck they come in all different colors its nice thick tubing it will slide right over the regular clear tubing with a little heat and pushes the mylar up tight agaisnt the wrap. you can also used it alone in place of the reg tubing.. and i use the dogs nail nippers to cut all the tubing works excellent, nice clean cut http://www.greatlakesfisherman.com/gallery/files/3/6/5/5/flys_010.jpg' alt='flys_010.jpg'>
  12. I made quite a few flys last year, I used stretch cord.. a cpl wraps and no glue or tape needed to start. after im done wrapping i give it one drop of super glue let dry for a sec and cut the stretch cord than finish off wit a coat of clear nail polish and they held up great i,ll post a pic shortly
  13. Sure cant.. you should come down and fish our events Dave would be easy money for ya
  14. Im confused.. or did you post on the wrong thread?
  15. Here is the schedule for 2013 we may throw in one last event in early September later, we,ll se how it goes we are also going to switch to a best 4 out of 5 for final points championship we had a few guys that couldn't make every event last year so this should help keep everyone in the hunt for first.
