  2. Friday was the Ladies and Kids Tournament and it was great. The biggest fish we saw today came from Chasin' Tail. This king clocked in at just over 20 pounds. The biggest box overall however went to team Early Bird. 63 pounds on 5 fish was plenty to give them the win! Team Early Bird Girls consisted of Angie VanZytveld, Kim VanZytveld and Jaime Patrick.

  11. Before considering either spend the money and take them to a good mechanic to go over from top to bottom. Listen to what that mechanic has to say before even thinking of buying one.
  12. That is a sweet ride, down here in the Gulf they have tournaments now just for kayaks. Some of the crazy guys take them off shore and use them to catch Sail Fish and Marlin. Here is a video
  13. Happy Troller is specifically made to allow you to keep your RPM up and slow down your boat to trolling speeds Check it out http://www.davisnet.com/marine/products/list_marine.asp?grp=mo2 You can find them even on Amazon
  14. If you plan on going out into Lake Michigan I would say a minimum of 25 feet and with kids safety in mind 27+. Smaller boats you will not be able to travel out very far unless you really pick and choose your days. I spent 15 years fishing Lake Michigan and the past 8 years in the Gulf of Mexico. I can honestly say Lake Michigan is much more dangerous than the Gulf. Of coarse you can only buy what you can afford but if buying a used boat take it to a good mechanic prior to the purchase. It may cost you a few hundred dollars but safe you thousands in the long run. Always remember what BOAT stands for Break Out Another Thousand
