  1. Well it cant' get much better than it is now! Took out a couple that my wife works with and what a morning , 13 for 20 and quit early for the girls . Big fish today, only one less than 10lbs. 11 kings , 1 coho , and a rainbow.

We started a little slower than last weekend but it was steady from 430 til 8am. three doubles! came close to a triple but it turned out to be a drive by. 60 fow to 75 seemed to be the best depth, riggers set high early and lower later. Wire dipsys ,riggers and high boards were the ticket. 3,4,5,6,7,9 all took fish along with the wires and riggers. riggers went all but silent after the sun was higher in the sky and then it was all boards. Two big lake lures saw action , double orange crush UV( my favorite spoon), and a tequila sunrise. Flasher and flies out on 5 rods, had to keep changing out hooks as the big kings were bending them. Glad I always have a few tied ready to go.

Just wish that the bite was a little later as 3am wake up times are coming hard.

  2. All I can say is (*&&&* *&%$%^) WOW. the lake is on fire right now! Set lines in 70 fow heading north about the towers , from 430 - 530 it was just a blur . was able to get only 3 rods set until 530 , they just kept firing , in the first 1/2 hour we lost 4 and boxed 3 . Wire divers did most of the damage , just as the day before.Flasher flies on 4 and 2 spoons on the high boards. We had 2 big kings get off right at the back of the boat. As the sun climbed higher the fishing slowed for us and we headed off north and moving out to 105-130. Didn't take long to finish filling out limit.Pulled lines by 840am . Ended the day 10 for 17 . 2 lakers and 8 kings. Put the top up and sat back for the 30min ride back . Another perfect day to be on the water!

  3. If you couldn't' tell the fishing has been good just look at the launch at 4am , boats everywhere ! Set lines about 430 south east of the green can , had three misses before boxing one. Went almost an hour without any action and headed out deep , 130-160 , It worked for us . 2 bows 5 lake trout one coho and 2 big kings. Flashers and Flies did most of the damage. Ended 10 for 17 our worst hook up ratio this year . Just an incredible day to be out on the water !.

  4. It's way to early in the season to get the old lady on you about fishing too much. I understand doing what you need to do.

But you know she will be on the boat on Sunday , its our fish in for the month.

Besides we are on overtime now , for a few days .So no time for fishing this week , but let me know how you do if you get out. I need to be on the fish Sunday morning , Better yet lets go find them Saturday.

  5. Got the itch in the middle of the week and the weather cooperated and we headed out and fished near the wreak. four color was the hot setup along with the wire dipsy. Flasher flies took 1/2 the fish. We took some photos but didn't have a scale with us for the contest . 2 of the lures we used that evening pulled fish. Hot spoon Double orange crush UV , and the other was a tequila sunrise. Both UV Spoons. we went 6 for 9 on thursday.

Saturday evening a little different , Decided to fish the filter to the towers , holy cow ! all the boats! I don't like bumper boats so we tried to stay out on the edge. We started with a screamer on the wire dipsy the would fire 2 more times and take only 1 more fish. Washed lures for what seemed all night before it all broke loose with both riggers firing at once . picked away for the rest of the night going 9 for 13.

Freezer is full so I am taking off this week to do things around the house. Was out with Salmon Assassin today and had to work really hard for the fish we picked up.

Sorry if some of this is spotty , from Thursday on everything is a blur.

  6. Well Adam You know how my seasons going just like your! Lots of big kings , hope it stays like this all year! Hate to say it but I may have to take a week off of fishing my wife says she misses me? Maybe she will just have to come with!

Really enjoyed fishing with you last week , it has to be the fastest I have ever limited out.

  7. The hottest spoon this spring for me has been the double orange crush UV in mag. I like these spoons they run well have good hooks , more than I can say about some other brands . I have a few others but I am not sure of the names. I can't tell if its the spoons or pure luck . But I don't think it luck because the other spoons are not taking large kings. other than that its been flasher and flies.

  8. Hit the water about 430 just in time to get wet , put on the rain gear and get wet again, At least the showers were short .Didn't pick up any fish until after the lake express blew its horn and came out of the fog.Looked really cool as only the top 1/3 was showing. Every pole in the water took fish this morning, LBB, Aqua fly on white flasher were very popular hot spoon for use was a double orange crush UV. 45 to 90 fow , 3,4,5,6,7 color and 2 wire rods along with 2 riggers did all the work. Now that the coho have arrived in numbers its turning into a real mixed bag. We had a 50/50 split ,kings and coho.
