  1. Seen the same thing Saturday morning. Went 1 for 2. Big steelhead 123ft on a double orange crush. Other was a dragger when we were pulling lines that came off. Seen the bait schools from 80 to 127 ft. Nice job on the king. Keeps the skunk out.
  2. No hits on copper or lead core. 1 on dipsey out 150 and the rest on the riggers down 110-115. My son does the rigging so that's as much info that I have sorry. Sent from my C6743 using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  3. South haven 5/13 Fished 60 to 90 from 630 to 1030 or so without a hit. An unknown fisherman on the radio told me about catching some at 125. Thank you to the guy that shared that. Took the skunk out as soon as we got there. The next couple hours we went 8 of 8 and then headed in. First time we have been out for the year. 2 kings,1 coho, and 5 lakers. Kings and cohos on double orange crush and the lakers on pink and silver spin and glo's. Thanks again to the unknown fisherman who helped us out today.

  5. went 5 for 6. Four Lakers and a small king. The last being the only thing we had on a north troll. Think it was nessIe! Had our copper on a board and the Board went under like a bobber. Had to turn around quick or get spooled. Ended up all that came in with the spoon was a zebra mussel. Must have been A submerged log or something. All came from 58 to 62 ft. A couple on orange crush Spoon and the rest On pink/Crome spin and glo. All fish caught on south troll.
  6. Thank you for the information .

  14. we were out in 130 fow a couple weeks ago and i seen a lamprey actually swim up and surface right next to the boat. have never had that happen before.
  15. has anyone fished out of st joe lately??? i have seen no posts.
  16. set lines in new buffalo around 2:30 this afternoon. had a fish on the fishfinder coming out of the harbor so i thought it would be good. WRONG! according to noaa there were supposed to be waves around 1 foot. try 3 to 4 and by the time we came in they were scary for us in our 19 footer. we did manage to catch one small coho in 50 foot, 20 down and 40 back on a mag moonshine flounder pounder. on the way back my kicker motor died so we headed in around 8:30. when we got back to the dock i took the motor cover off the kicker and the oil plug fell in the water and was gone. i kind of had that sinking feeling too, seeing that i run that engine out of oil. ugh well to top it all off, and you thought it could only get better from there. when my son was setting lines earlier in the day he got his finger caught between the line leveler and the inside of the reel. all he could do was yell. i didnt know what was wrong. thought something was biting him. he mashed his finger pretty good. has a black and blue nail. it wasnt funny at the time but i just had to tell him duh huh later on. he had it coming.
  17. nice job for a slow slow day. we got skunked in new buffalo. very few caught by the other boats out there.
  18. hello, you still going out to st joe today and tomorrow with the gale force winds? was wondering what channel you are on so i could contact you next time we get out there. i probably wont get out again till the wind settles down next week.

  20. set lines about 2 pm. all our hookups came on a north troll. we couldnt beg a bite with that hurricane force wind in our face. went 5 for 6 and called it quits around 6:30. we caught them from 15 to 20 feet. not sure what they were all on but i know a couple were on firetiger rapala and one was on an orange coho fly that i tie. im just the driver, my son just lets me catch a fish once in awhile:lol: seen priority 1 out there. was wondering how you guys did?
  21. when we were in ludington last weekend i heard that someone dropped their cabin cruiser on the ramp. now i would be ticked if that happened. by the way we went 8 for 8 on saturday. 7 kings and a hogtied sheephead.
