Some small lakes in Allegan and Van Buren counties are fishable. None of them are deeper than 20'.

well
in Deer Hunting
Took a doe off of state land in Allegan County. Seen more deer than hunters. That was a nice change.

Just like them to show up after the season is closed.

Blacks, they have an adjustable tension screw. They last longer than pads too.

But then I loved Head cheese untill my Great grandmother had me help her make it, one more item no longer on my food list.
Tight Lines

I looked at the ingredients on the package, the first time I seen it. Decided it wasn't for me.

i belive it it... its a point blank the new wave.... I WILL BE GETTING A NEW ONE AT TAX TIME! lol
I have the exact same bow. Sure it's old, but I'm comfortable with it.

I will try an old NP or Charger a few times a year. Can't say I've ever had any success.

WTG Ice_Man_08! The first one is always the toughest. It only gets easier from here.

Congratulations on the great hunt. Is that one of the bingo units?

Congrats on the bling!

Get your fishing in while you can. If history repeats it's self, the barrier will be turned on too late.

I clicked on More... I got a "Article not found"?

Had j1musser join me to fish South Haven this morning from 8-10 AM. Finished 5/5 with 4 Kings and a Laker. Four of the five fish came in 175-180 FOW. All of the Kings came on dipsy divers with SD and flies. The green bubble w/ Pickle Sunshine fly took three. Had the wire dipsy's w/ cheater rings set on one and one half, back 210-240'. The Laker came on 200' copper with a Mag. Mixed Veg. S-SW troll was best. Waves 1' or less!

Great job Mike! Thanks for the report.

This was my worst year yet. Didn't get out as much this year do to the weather. When I did make it out, the wave forecast was wrong. The calm trips proved to be tough too. Other than my one solo trip, my hook up rate was over 90%. Can't complain too much as I only had one skunk for the year. My high light for the year was taking first place and big fish in a small St. Joe tournament. Had four fish over 17#'s this year, but can't break my goal of 20#. It's not over yet, I still plan on fishing till the end of the month.

Went out for an hour Thursday night. Seen one Coho and a Brown caught. There was a few Kings jumping up the river. Nowhere near the number of people fishing at this WSP.

I might be interested. Couldn't afford to travel to a East side event, if there was one. I will need to see more info on locations, dates and rules. Keep us posted. It sounds like something that could catch on.

I don't have speed at the ball, so I rely on my riggers. The hum will tell me if I'm in the right range. I typically start around 2.6. I will then adjust for the current and compensate for the waves.

Good job! Way to go on letting her real in those full cores.
Thanks for the report!

Way to go Jarrod! I'm sure your fiancé wouldn't mind you buying a smoker. You can get a small electric for around $60. Or you might have to go pay Spanky a visit?

Has anyone noticed if there lures were too bright?? What I mean is has anyone gotten hits right away or are they down for awhile before they get hit? I agree daylight seems to work the best for me. I usually take my glows out in the afternoon while we are trolling and let them charge up.
Moonshine lures can be over charged. I don't charge them as long or use the 55 watt bulb to charge with. Something that bright just looks unnatural.

3,000,000 candle watt spot light.

With the wave forecast and warm water, you may want to give it a try at a later date. Weather drifting or anchored, 4-6 footer can get to you.
3 dozen minnows should be enough. If you run out, you can always try cut bait.

I have found that they work better for Trout than Salmon.
