It seams to be more common in trout. Half of of the Lakers we've caught this year have been clipped and three have been tagged.

I know the Trax-tech and Berts are interchangeable.

Welcome to a great site Captain Dave!

I don't think mono is the best choice for running deep. You should consider running 2 lbs. off of braid or wire. The only way I know how to tell how deep you are, is to bounce it of the bottom.

Go with the Blacks.

Nice job again Phil & crew. Some nice hogs in there. Did you get a weight on the biggest?

Seeing those pictures have me yearning to go back.
For those that have never been, I would highly recommend a trip.
We flew over the lake that you had fished at. It looks intimidating, because of it's large size.

Hey the bait is in and a few fish are around... just thought I would pass it along.
I've heard of some steel being caught in SH.

I have heard nothing but good things about the one at First Choice Marine. They are an authorized Mercruiser service dealer.

I'll give you an A for effort!

Nice job Terry. There was a bit of a scum line in 120 fow tonight. What does a "Rodman" spoon look like? Who makes it?
It's DOC (double orange crush) w/ black dots.

Chatter Baits and Fire Tiger Hot-N-Tots are a couple of my favorites.

The good size Perch are in 70' hole.

To the best of my knowledge, SH is the only stop w/ a 24' & under.

Good to see that you got some silver.

You can also check the buoy data at wunderground.com Its gives relatively fresh data.
A good rule of thumb: Take the wave height @ the buoy X 2.

I've good success fishing at night. I run all Moon Shines. The key is to bring every thing up 20-25' and don't over charge the spoons. The hard part is keeping a fish on the Dipsey out of the cores. It takes a good communication, between the driver and the fisherman on the rod, to run boards at night.

no idea but i am always up for anything are you going to show me hows its done?
A couple of guys out of Holland do it.

Nice job on the Big Heads.
Any plans on fishing for Scams or Fall Kings out of the Yak?

As always...great job!

I have set-ups of 200,250,300 & 400' of 45# copper. The Church boards pull them just fine. As mentioned, I double wrap the 50# PP on the release. I wouldn't bother with the 30# copper, as the sink rate doesn't differ much from lead core. JMO
300' of 45# copper would be a good choice for the CV55. It's important to have a large eyelet on the tip of your rod that you're using for copper.
Your fishing buddies will thank you for the change over to copper.

Pyles Port Hole, in South Haven, has it too.

Jarod & I had discussed this while fishing Saturday. Wind out of the North/West never = 1 or less. Glad I didn't go out last night. I could here the waves crashing from my house.

That would be a glow fire dots spoon. The water needs to cool back down, like last Thursday.
