    Lake flipped hard, wanted to try out front for steel but heavy seas ruled that out. Wanted to try the channel but people casting and weird waves ruled that out. Tried Mac instead, hit a small sheep setting lines. That was it. Gave up around 7 as it was cold. Marked several bait balls in Mac and most of the hooks we marked were tight to the bottom, which is different. There was a pile just in front of the channel opening in 29' would have been interesting to jig that spot and see if it was a late last push of kings, not that I would expect them to wait once they got into Mac.

    A student of mine gave me a fishing lure they made (I teach middle school). I took it to a smaller swampy lake that has pike and bass. The goal was to catch pike and bass. Some big ones were biting!

    I love fishing from shore in the Great Lake Tributaries in the fall because the King Salmon run up the rivers and I can catch them casting around with jerkbaits and inline spinners. I got a couple of takers on this trip.

The condition is excellent and it was used on my boat for just 1 season with only a few scratches on the cover case.     I headed out to a very popular shipwreck on Lake Erie. I decided to fish it first, and then drop the camera underwater and see what I didn't catch.     Nice evening. 3 for 4, with a pair of nice steelhead and a small king, all in 80-100FOW on a SW troll at 3.5mph speed at the ball (they liked it fast). All magnum sized spoons. Fished just South of Holland. 200 copper: Rasta Goose Spoon - Small King 225 copper: Mod. Holographic Blue Dolphin Spoon - 1 for 2, 12lb Steelhead 325 copper: Burnt Bread Moonshine Spoon - 9lb Steelhead I hadn't been out in a couple weeks but I heard the steelhead were around so I targeted them with coppers & spoons. Incredible fighters, several times jumping out of the water and constant head shakes. Good rodeo.
