Holland 8/7 Evening

Took my nephew out along with Janet and were able to fish a 9 rod spread: 200WS; 5 color, 2 Ninja divers and 4 riggers.  Started in 115 FOW heading south towards Saugy and dipped into 70, then 50 FOW at sundown looking for some larger fish as the reports were mostly kings <10lbs being caught.  Landed only one fish and I believe we were 1 for 6 not counting tip ups.  Started off with a great SH hit on the 5 color with a Super Slim Spotted Magic Man.  After multiple out of water events and getting the board off Mr. SH broke the leader - drats.  Retied the leader and put a new one on and it got bit a little later but we didn't land it as well.  White/green dot SD and UV mag white spoon on a 4' leader got bit on a DR 42' down on Smart Troll but it got off.  SWR with a blue silver meat head got bit 3x I believe, one was a nice long run but that came off too.  Our only fish we LANDED came on 200WS with a mag Atomic Melon in 74 FOW shortly before sunset ~6lb king.  Best marks were in 70-80 FOW between the sliders and Saugy.  At dusk I put a mix of glow and dark spoons down on the divers and riggers (Mag Bloody Nose, Super Glow Alewife, Soda)  In 50-70 FOW we marked next to nothing.  Between 70-80 FOW the graph was full but could not get them to bite.  Was running a north troll at this point and we fished to 10:30pm.  We were the only ones fishing inside of 100FOW.  Other boats were deeper.  The reports before sunset were 1 for ##.  Not much action.  No reports after sunset as usual.

You can only try and a very good effort was put forth by your team. Darn fish, what's wrong with them?????
