JVanderVennen Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Well, we decided at the last minute to take an evening fishing trip adventure with the kids and papa out of Grand Haven. Set lines around 7pm and pulled up at 9:45pm, we stayed inside the pack of boats with productive water being 90-110fow. Ended our trip 7 for 9, one coho around 8lbs and the rest were kings, decent size, with the mature fish weight averaging 16lbs. What worked, straight meat program, didn’t even have time to get the complete spread out. DW 8” spins, Mountain Dew with pearl, Kevin’s girlfriend, pickle juice, and dirty monkey meat rigs on green spins took all the hits. Downriggers set 55-65 down took 5 fish, braid divers set on 3 back 150-160’ took the other fish. Trolling 2.5 sog on the gps with sw troll being the best. Good luck this weekend everyone. 6

zgrinder on Fin Warrior Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Great box of fish! Perhaps the salmon that were abundant around Holland have moved a bit north. 1
JVanderVennen Posted August 8 Author Posted August 8 Rich, I think they may have too, GH has been solid for us over the past few days. Last night once the sun went down it was incredible to see the amount of marks on the sonar, big pod of fish hanging in there currently. 1
Dennis hageman Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Good catch seems like the meat program is working now that the water temp is returning to what it was a couple weeks ago.
