phantom17 Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Fished from the state park down to Gurney creek on a south troll. Worked 140-210 foot range. Went 3 for 3. Steelhead on 150 copper with a SS jaw jacker. King 75’ on a SWR with a frog meat rig and watermelon dodger, and another king 60’ down on a tin can dodger and pickled sunshine fly. Main thing I found was they wanted it slow. I didn’t start getting hit until I slowed down to 2-2.4. Marked a lot of fish on bottom but they seemed like they weren’t in the biting mood. Saw a lot of fish come up and check out the riggers on the graph but never ended up hitting. Had a really great evening overall though. It doesn’t seem like the lake flipped up here like it did down south. The water was a lot warmer than I was expecting after the blow Friday. The lake and weather were beautiful overall though.
