Billy Philly Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Getting in the rounds today! Dialed in a good 6 rod program on our smaller boat. Ran out to 115 FOW and put lines down in a south troll. 2.6SOG felt good on our riggers and divers. All hits between 6-7am. Got showered on while getting bites. We think the fish slid out after that. Dock reports were that 130 FOW was more productive. 1 coho on a rigger down 80. Double Glow Silver Horde 1 King on a 10 color. Green Jeans UV Glow 1 King (34 inches) on a dipsey back 170. Dragon Slayer and Olive Oil. 10
jdh Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Nice catch. The tail of the coho looks more like a younger king. There's a lot of kings that size this year.
Billy Philly Posted July 26 Author Posted July 26 @jdhThats very possible. It was hard for us to tell, and we’re new at it this year.
jdh Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Here's a coho tail picture. Sometimes have more spots but usually towards the top of the fin. King tails very spotted like your picture above.
jdh Posted July 27 Posted July 27 On a good fishing day, I'll get to the cleaning station and be like "how did this steelhead / coho get in the box". Don't remember catching one!
