Fed agencies plan for next generation of Great Lakes restoration

The 14 year-old federal program to restore the Great Lakes to a semblance of environmental health after decades of degradation and neglect is in the public spotlight this summer. The Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, or GLRI, is approaching its third iteration, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is conducting what it’s calling “public engagement sessions” for input on priorities for the period 2020 to through 2024. Read the full story by Great Lakes Now.
