Boneparte’s gulls are brief visitors to area

Bonaparte’s gulls, Chroicocephalus philadelphia, have returned to the Great Lakes for a brief stop-over on their annual spring migration to their Canadian and Alaskan summer breeding grounds.  “Bonnies” are one of the smallest gulls in the world and can been seen for the next few weeks in lower Lake Huron or the St. Clair River.  Read the full story from the Times Herald.
