Small plane ownership has gone down significantly due to the cost of planes and the cost to own them (insurance, fuel...). Consequently many of the smaller airports have empty hangers that you might be able to get at a decent monthly rate. Generally they have big doors, plenty of size and will have electric power with lighting... plus there is a decent level of security.
