musky_ken
I bought some from siggs but it wasn't as fine of material. Trying to find something finer like what dreamweaver and raptor uses.
Sea-Mac
I bought some from siggs but it wasn't as fine of material. Trying to find something finer like what dreamweaver and raptor uses.Know this has been awhile and not sure if you care anymore but...Purple Taco Fly Supply has thin cut 'Bandaboo' similar to the stuff Dreamweaver and Raptor uses. It is banded (all connected) so it is easier to work with...what you are looking for tho is called "tinsel 'strand' mylar", I believe and I have found it @ Cabelas, Gander Mt. and Michael's craft store before. I like the thinner stuff to over the thicker strand materials.

I've read about the tinsel strand mylar before but without seeing it wasn't sure if it was what I wanted. I'll get some over the winter and try it out. SUPERTRAMP
The last time i purchased some banded mylar, i ordered it from Siggs Riggs. Speaking of.... i have yet to make any flies with it yet.I have used Siggs, but I really like the stuff Big Weenie has. check out their fly tying materials. I really prefer the tube they have to the head that Siggs uses.
1HI4X
I realize this thread is old but this is perfect for this video we just put together on fly "tying." A tutorial for anyone who wants to give it a shot but doesn't know where to start.
