Jose
Got out for a few hours tonight after my dad got outta work. Set Lines around 5:30 at 68 fow. Trolled out to 130 fow with no luck. We start to turn around when the two color core board releases. I'm halfway sure what was on was a fish...or a boot. Did not feel one movement of the fish. But what ever it was came unbuttoned about 10 yards from the boat. Got to about 100 fow when we were talking about pulling lines when the 8 color core takes a rip. Small Steelhead taken on a black green and white northern king hologram spoon. Moved on to pulling in the dipsey when a rigger was bouncing 51 down. Boated a smaller king on the free slider with a green dolphin spoon. Left that rigger in the boat and decided to troll to 75 fow with just the one rigger in the water. We marked something on the graph and my dad says, "Looks like a fish may be following our bait." 10 seconds later were hooked up. Boated around a 6lb king on a standard size happee meal moonshine spoon. All in all I think we did pretty good at 3 for 4 considering the radio chatter didn't sound too promising.
